I was unaware that this was a musical. The 7 year old that I was watching this with asked, "is it was going to be over soon, because it is getting on my nerves." Very repetitive. I LOVE Disney movies but this one was very disappointing.

I didn't realize this was a musical. I should have picked up on that in the description. 95% of all the dialog is 'sung' and not spoken. I found it hard to follow and enjoy the movie for this reason. However, the acting was great!

It wasn't what I expected it to be. I expected more drama ...didn't realize it was musical. I would have waited until the price went down instead of paying new release price. It is nice for people who like all musical.

I knew this movie was a musical but was unaware how much song there really was. The plot was good but I was not in the proper mind frame to watch. I got distracted easily and kept wondering when it was going to end.

I didn't know what this movie was before I purchased it. After fifteen minutes of EVERYTHING being sung, the entire family (adults, kids, grandparents) were begging to make it stop. We never finished it.

It is an ok musical broadway production, nothing spectacular about it.

Didn't really care for the way the movie flowed and how the stories were connected. Maybe since I did not know it was a musical may have turned me off although I do like musicals

I wasn't aware this movie was a musical, my bad. I did however enjoy the storyline but the singing was just too much. I found myself having to fast forward through every song.

I purchased this movie for granddaughter, thinking she would love it, but this is her least favorite movie. It went on her shelf and she has not watched the whole movie.

The movie was nothing what I expected, the ending was morbid and sad. I liked the actors and who they tried to portray, but was still a little confused on the concept.

bought this movie and got it super fast but when i went to watch it i found out it was a musical more then any thing,it would be a good movie if you like musical

Would have been much more enjoyable had it not been a musical, which I did not realize until I started watching it. But really not suitable for kids either.

Clearly it is a musical. There were many good actors and decent special effects. If you like this play, or are a Sondheim fan, it may be for you.

The movie wasn't what I expected. It was ok but by the end of the movie it turned into something different which made me not like it

This movie was excruciatingly boring, which is a shame based on the cast. I bought this for my goddaughter and we could not finish it.

I had high hopes for this movie because of all the really good actors and actresses in it, but I was not impressed at all.

Surprisingly, my 6 yr old daughter like this movie. I like musicals, but this one I didn't like. Kind of dark.

Not as good as the original with Mandy Patamkin. It's okay to pass the time away, but really not worth purchasing.

Come on Disney, really! I not big on musical anyway but this was just sad. Do you have to sing every word!!!
