Update and Use Issues

Have been using TT for years, but this release is awful. Wants to update every time I start it, but then hangs. Finally saw a tip for last years to run as Administer. Think this may have resolved the update problem, but not sure and thus have lost a little faith in the results. Also tried to import a .txf file and it wouldn't even see it in the open dialog screen. Found a way to brute force the importing. Again, wondering if the results are accurate.
