Have been a turbo tax user for many years and disappointing results that prevented efile for both fed and state

I have been using Turbotax for years, and by far this is the worse version yet. The help is poorly setup, the interview questions they use through the return are misleading and confusing. You can still file, but you will get frustrated during the process.

TurboTax works great unless you are a high volume stock trader. This program won’t let me import my Etrade information even though I had less than 2000 trades (which is supposedly the limit). It also doesn’t give you enough numeric characters to manually enter your 1099-b if you have over $999,999 in total proceeds and cost basis - which most high volume traders will have. That is NOT my gain...just total proceeds and cost basis Also, this year, turbo tax support has been worse than any of the 7 previous years I’ve used it. Therefore I can’t recommend this product unless you have a super simple return.

So I got this and it didn't have the download code in the box just the DVD so we had the contact turbo tax best buy would return it .

Bought TurbTax Premier 2018 DVD which was flawed. Had TurboTax download another copy which was also flawed.

Tried doing my taxes by myself and that did not go very far! It was either going to a tax "specialist" which would have cost several hundred dollars or get Turbo Tax. Turbo Tax guided me every step of the way and also offered suggestions on getting the most of my refund. E-File was easy and I actually liked the info they asked to make sure that you are actually the person(s) filing. It only took 10 minutes or so to get a reply saying that the IRS received my return. I highly recommend this product.

I have used this product for a number of years. I have used other products once or twice, but have mostly used Turbo Tax. I am familiar with it and it works.

Turbotax has been generally reliable in past years, but this time it's buggy in a serious way. It put blanks when importing my W2 the first time around, which I only caught my manually inspecting it later, and it also tried to skip my entering in college tuition info. If you use this, pay attention to the numbers that it churns out.

BestBuy website stated a digital download format was available, which was ideal since I don't have a CD/DVD reader. However, when CD was shipped, there was no way to digitally download without the CD. After I received the CD and could not find the digital download instructions, BestBuy customer service stated that there is no digital download option from BestBuy. Digital download is only available if you order from the TurboTax website. Now I have to go to the store, which is what I wanted to avoid in the first place. Very misleading.

immediately after signing up to Intiit TurboTax online, I began recieving spam emails. The opt out feature on thier website asks for EVEN MORE personal information. Register with Intuit at your own personal privacy risk.
