this is a great product for adding a second monitor

Worked like it was supposed to. No issues with installing.

Did the job nicely. Too many wires dangling around though.

I used this to connect my gaming computer to my scientific workstation. The science station is dual boot between windows 7 pro and RHEL 7. No issues on this machine. On the gaming computer which is also windows 7, the mouse has lots of lag. Tried numerous fixes switching between USB 2 & 3, drivers and still has an issue. The workstation does not have the Logitech software installed and the gaming computer does. Removing it did not help. Unplugging the keyboard seemed to fix the mouse lag but that defeats the purpose.

This works really well most of the time for such a little inexpensive switch. Other times there is static and screen distortion. Not sure if I did something wrong or what. But overall I find this useful.

The only issue is the wireless mouse will not work with this device. I had to use a wired one. Works as advertised, but I really miss my wireless mouse.

I bought this to share a Logitech mouse and keyboard between two computers. What I found is that it is not compatible with Logitech's Unifying Software technology. You must re-set it up with the host computer each time you switch from one to the other. Very cumbersome. Only way for this to work is if the mouse and keyboard have separate USB connections to the switch.

I have several computers which has ps/.2 KB and Mouse so I have a 4 port KVM and hung a Belkin 2 port off one of the ports. I use ps/2 to usb converts for computers which need USB keyboards. Tried to put a USB converter between one of the kvm ports and this device and it didn't work at all. I have the four port version of this KVM on a standalone USB setup *usb kb in and out" and it works fine.

I'm sure this works fine. I had to return it because the back of my computers and monitor need a KVM DVI switch.

I enjoy using both my desktop and laptop (w/docking station) units using just 1 keyboard and mouse. That's where this KVM switch comes in. It was easy to setup and use. I replaced my older Belkin 2 port KVM switch because it wouldn't seem to retain my new monitor's resolution settings. This new IO gear 2 port KVM switch does retain my monitor's resolution setting. I like the USB ports for keyboard/mouse inputs/outputs unlike my older Belkin KVM switch that used the older style PS2 connections. Additionally, You can't beat the price.

Did not do what I needed. Packaging made it seem as it would work as expected. Had to return.

get it. otherwise, having to use vga will drive you mad.

Was easy to setup cabling. No software to load. Only issue was in the middle of usage the 2nd monitor connection would just go to sleep. Was very frustrating didn't bother to find out why. Did not have the same problem with different model

Did not work for what I wanted. Had to return it to store.

This was easy to set up. We didn't even have to use the instructions. We connected it to a docking station that I already have. I'm using two laptops, one of which the monitor no longer works, the other laptop is used for work and I use the monitor for it anyway. There is no audio with this set up, but I only use audio on one of my laptops, so that doesn't really matter any way. Same for the printer. Great deal for the price.
