This works pretty well, but it has quirks, possibly just do to my radio....who knows. But it has as good a sound quality as the radio can for the age of it (1992 Ford F-150). It connects very promptly and secure (doesn't drop all the time) via the BlueTooth, that is nice. I cannot figure out the call answer part using the corded switch, it doesn't work or just doesn't work with iPhone maybe, not going to figure it out, because all my daughter wanted was the BlueTooth music feature, though WA has a hands free law and it would be nice to be able to use it. If it plays the BT music one day and not the next, try pushing the Reverse on the cassette player and see if that makes it work again, like it did for us.....one of the quirks. For the money, it's a worth it if you do not want to pay out for a brand new radio and system. I would recommend it.

This item works perfectly in my car and with my phone. The sound is clear and the hands free option works well.

I bought this with skepticism, but it works if you follow the instructions and the audio quality is very good!

Works good, battery life could be a little longer, works well in a vehicle that you can't change the radio in.

As others have pointed out, there is a colorless piece of plastic that covers the cassette head. If you are careful, you can easily pull this off and then clean the head with a touch of rubbing alcohol. This seems to really clean up the sound a bit. I'm using it in a 37-year old car stereo (with 37 year old speakers) so I really can't say how great the audio transfer from my phone is, but it works. I have absolutely no problem connecting to the unit and it works fine. The only thing I would have liked to see is a different placement for the micro USB charging slot. I would like to leave the unit plugged in and charging while I'm driving to a cigarette lighter, but I can't due to the location of the charging port. It's fine if you have a side-loading cassette deck, but if you have a front-loading deck the port is on the side and can't be left plugged in. It's a minor issue, but worth noting. I'm very happy with it and it has solved my problem.

Who knew my cassette player could be used for something. Awesome product and easy to use.

The Ion Audio - Cassette Bluetooth Adapter is but have a short battery

The dealership wanted almost $600 to put Bluetooth in my Car, but I could not justify the price since I do have an older, albeit luxury, Suv. I watched several YouTube videos and read several car blogs to find an alternative. The suggestions were all expensive or complicated for ME to install. I didn't want one of those cassettes that have wires hanging from it to connect to my phone. This is perfect and works great! Thank goodness for this $20 solution because now I can stream movies from my devices and listen to it in the car. I can listen to my iPod, Pandora, Spotify...etc. I love it and would buy it again in a heartbeat. The sound is a bit tinny, and when it's quiet, I do hear the tape deck, but honestly, is there a better alternative that doesn't cost an arm and a leg?

For the price, it works decently. No frills. Easy to use.

I absolutely love this Bluetooth cassette! Honestly, I was skeptical after reading some of the reviews about the battery life and things like that but I found that if I eject it before I get out of my car or when I'm not using it; I can go weeks without having to charge it and when I do, I just charge it over night and I'm ready to go in the morning. The quality of sound that it reproduces is great as well, sounds just like if it were playing through the radio; maybe even better! I recommend this to anyone with an older model car looking to play your own music.

We have older vehicles without an aux input. This did the trick it also allows a friend to connect and play their device. The battery last a good long time and the sound is excellent. Will also work for hands free calling. I bought two, one for me also.

The product is good if you want to stream music from your phone. The only down side is you have to keep it on cassette to use it for the phone which means if you are not streaming music you have to sit quietly in your car with out a radio

My car is a 2004 with a tape deck and no ipod connection. I tried several of the older types with a cord and they never sounded very good. This one sounds great and works with any blue tooth device. I use this all the time now.

I have an older car with a great sounding stereo that lacks Bluetooth capability. This affordable adapter hides quietly inside the tape deck and provides Bluetooth with no additional wiring or modules. I get 6+ hours on a charge and the audio sounds great. I recommend setting the Bluetooth volume on your device at approximately 2/3 to 3/4 (to avoid distortion) and adjusting the volume at the car stereo to the desired level. This is a GREAT product that works even better than I had expected.

My wife drives an '03 Mercedes CLK that has a CD changer and a cassette player behind the stereo faceplate. The stereo controls are on the steering wheel and the stereo gets louder and softer depending on whether or not you're traveling at freeway speeds. For this reason we wanted to save the factory stereo. The problem was having to take a bunch of CDs on long trips. This Bluetooth adapter allows us to sync with our phones, giving us a library of over 3000 songs when we go on road trips. The charge lasts about 4 hours before we use a cigarette lighter charger to give it more juice.
