Sorry to hear you are having trouble. It sounds like what you were experiencing most likely had to do with the volume level of the source device. We would recommend starting your phone or other Bluetooth device off at about 70%. Then put the source volume at about 80% and use the main volume to affect the volume to your liking- this is called 'Gain Staging' and is crucial for obtaining a good sound. A 10" woofer is for indoor entertainment only, but against traffic, police sirens, cars honking, and people talking loudly, this thing won't stand a chance at all. I wish I could get my money back... Best Buy wouldn't let me get my return label that I had already submitted.

While it is not battery-powered, you may be happier with something such as a Total PA Ultimate or another one of our Total PA series speakers. Being AC powered allows for much higher volume output.
