bought this for my wife for Christmas really took her back to the old days brought back memories

ION AUDIO BOOMBOX Performance is great, you will love it.

The ION Audio - Boombox with AM/FM Radio - Silver operates just as the original Boomboxes of the 1970’s operated except for one fact. That fact being the additional upgrading to today’s technology with Bluetooth connectivity and Micro SD Card and USB Flash drive inputs. I connected my phone easily with automatic pairing and just tapping on the Boombox name on my screen. Music on my Micro SD Card and USB Flash drive could also be played by switching from one to the other with the Mode/Stop Rec. button. One immediate problem I noticed was not having a way to advance music on the Micro SD Card or USB Flash Drive more than one song at a time. Also, there is no small screen to display what is on the Micro SD Card or USB Flash Drive. I found myself doing a lot of continued pressing of the forward button to find songs further down the alphabet list. I was able to record my voice and radio programming on both the Micro SD Card and cassette tape. My old cassettes sounded better played on the ION Audio - Boombox with AM/FM Radio - Silver than on the original recorder used to initially record with. The ION Audio - Boombox with AM/FM Radio - Silver is lightweight compared to the Boomboxes of the 1970’s, but that does not diminish its audio power which is booming loud. The versatility of playing audio with different types of media makes it impossible to be unable to enjoy your music.

I bought this on clearance and I immediately understood why they were trying to get rid of them: the audio quality is terrible. There are a lot of cool features jammed into this package: cool retro design; ability to play vis bluetooth, cassette, radio, USB, or micro SD; a microphone; and the ability to copy music between the different inputs. These are all really cool but essentially useless because this product doesn't do its one core job: play music well. The audio all sounds flat and dead. I wouldn't recommend this speaker because, despite all the bells and whistles, there are other speakers you can get for around the same price that sound leagues better.
