We purchased two of these because they seemed like a great price and product. Unfortunately, the sound did not get very loud and when linked they became even quieter. We ended up using an older speaker with Bluetooth microphone for our event as this speaker/microphone set did not meet our needs.

These devices use lead acid batteries, which are the same type your car uses. They are very reliable, as long as they are being used and charged regularly. You want to make sure it is fully charged before storing for any long period of time, and that it is being used at least once a month to prevent battery drain.
