The sound is pretty good The bass boost helps overall sound quality some. The unit has a microphone feature which can be used for karaoke. It requires the microphone volume to be up to nearly max in order to be heard. That is annoying. At lower volume levels it was difficult to hear. The bluetooth connection is quick and seamless. It plays all bluetooth connected apps smoothly and without fail. The quality of connection to the AM/FM stations is fair at best. With the unit plugged in to electrical power the connection to AM/FM stations is poor. Weird that they don't get this right. One would think that feature would be easy to do. A cool feature is a usb connector which allows usb charging. Very handy and quite effective. Now for the biggest head scratcher of all. The instructions state that if you are not going to use it for extended periods of time you must run the battery power down to zero before packing away or the battery will be permanently damaged. What? Is this 1985? Surely this could be made with smart battery technology that assures that there will be no battery damage for extended periods of non-use. This head scratching information makes this a product I cannot recommend to others. Just seems that manufacturer cut corners on radio reception and battery.
