It's built very rugged, would probably survive a fall off a tailgate. It's water resistant as well, but not waterproof, so don't let it fall into the pool. The sound is not audiophile quality, but it gets VERY loud and can easily fill a space. Comes with a full size mic so you can use it as a PA system or even some karaoke. There is a separate volume control for the mic but it's still controlled by the master volume knob so you'll have to reduce the volume on your source device if you want to do any karaoke. There is also a bass boost that can be triggered on and off with a button. I found that it works well for songs with little bass to begin with but mixed results for bass heavy tracks. The best thing about this speaker is the huge battery that is included, a 12V 7.0Ah that is rated to last over 70 hours, so it lasts an entire weekend trip without charging. Speaking of charging, it has 2 USB-A ports on the top to charge other devices like your phones. Pros: Sources: Mic, Bluetooth, AM/FM Radio Bass Boost 70+ Hours of Battery USB Chargers Cons: 26lbs! Takes half a day to fully charge. Overall, it's perfect for almost any outdoor gathering and will work well in a lot of indoor ones too
