Once in the slot and locked down, there was some "play" between the cd slot and the mount, however, the grip to the phone was rock solid. Not by any means would I characterize this as "wobbly" and it did not shift around or rattled excessively over bumps. As I don't have others to compare to, I'm not sure if this is normal or not. Infinite orientation of the phone as needed! Also easy to remove, and secure phone, good design.

Just what we've been looking for!

However, I like the snap closed, snap open design, and the turnable feature allowing us to use the Garmin as well as our two quite different phones. When we toured Switzerland we took our phone mount with us, anticipating that we'd need it. Then we forgot it there! So we've bought another.
