This design uses my CD tray (obsolete anyway) and does not obstruct any air vents. However it does slightly block my rear-view camera unfortuantely. Of course every car design is different, But it's sturdy and holds the phone well and in perfect sight line. Definitely worth the money.

Great phone holder

I've tried a suction/stick on, vent and now this CD mounted holder. I was not expecting much. I was wrong. WOW. This is the best quality phone holder I've found so far. I'm very impressed and highly recommend.

Great mount

I bought this mount at target and had gone through quite a few mounts whether it be the dash, window, and cd slot. So when I bought this I bought it thinking it would be crap but holy smokes I was wrong and it’s amazing and just great!

Steady with XS. Won’t hold open
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.(Used on 2013 Lexus sedan) 90% of the time, this holder is top notch. It’s steady. Holds the phone. And can even be reoriented without two hands or fear of breaking a vent. The other 10% 1) the arms won’t stay open Sit it in the sun and the plastic seems to either swell or get soft. The arms pop back and you have to use two hands to mount the phone. This often leaves the phone unstable as the mount depends on “popping it in” to firmly hold 2) the cd mount is almost too tight. I can see plastic warp on my console. There’s no white fatigue or permanent damage...yet...but I will be checking in a few months to see if this is a long term issue. Knowing those things, I still prefer this over the 5 other mounts I’ve tried. Suction. Vent. This has been the best.
