This product is perfect. I've tried so many different phone mounts and this is the only one that continues to serve me well. You can tighten and loosen the "clamp". I like this for placing and removing it. Because I've actually tried to push a phone mount onto the air blades ( I don't know what they are called ) on my dashboard and it broke the blade! So now I have a floppy blade. haha But this one allows me to place it easily and carefully and then I can tighten the clamp so the mount itself is not flopping everywhere. I love that when I get in the car, I just place my phone in the center of it and it automatically clips to my phone. It is a snug fit and it's strong. It can hold my boyfriends iPhone X with the smart case with no problem. That thing is heavy. You can rotate the phone vertically and horizontally with ease. And when you're ready to go, you just squeeze in the sides and grab the phone. It remains that way until you push the phone back into the middle section again. It's brilliantly designed. I've been using it as an Uber and Lyft driver with no issues at all!

I used to use nothing to hold my phone while taking a trip using the GPS but I always had to take my eyes off the road to see where I was going, all I do is attach this to my A/C vent and it's been super convenient to use. It works both in landscape and portrait mode, my preferred view is landscape while using Google Maps.

This mount is perfect for me. Easy to install and use; easily removed when not in use. No messing with sticky "tape" or "mounting pads", just slide onto the air vent, tighten and good to go! Swivels, making it easy to adjust to perfect viewing and allow to plus into charger if need be on longer trips. Happy I purchased this!

I decided that I wanted to start going with a wireless charger for my phone. Problem is, it doesn't charge through the metal plate I had on my case so I had to choose between wireless charging and magnetic car mount. On the plus side, the iOttie works as advertised. It doesn't vibrate excessively and it holds my phone (iPhone XR) securely. I just preferred how the magnetic mount was 1) much easier to remove the phone with one hand and 2) how the magnet kept the phone closer to the dashboard. It's not a major pain to operate but it just takes a little more thought as I get out of the car.

Holds phone well. But is to heavy attached to the vent

I’ve had it for a few weeks now and it holds my phone well. It did fall off the vent once while driving but it could have been that I didn’t have it secured on the vent all the way in the first place. Time will tell if it falls off again.

I like this product. It is very easy to use and will fit in any of the car vents. I like the way you can open the grips and the ease of placing the phone in it. It was rotate to hold the phone in whatever view you want. Extremely handy for using maps and answering the phone, etc.

I prefer the magnet mounts, but you have to choose between that and wireless charging, and I've chosen the latter. So I needed a new car mount and this one is great (so far) and is much better than any other non-magnetic mount I've tried.

Was used to an older style of mount that fit into a CD slot, but as fewer and fewer cars these days have CD players, I needed something different. Was hesitant about the iOttite's ability to hold my phone stable with just the one clamp, but it works great and the phone clamps, release and securing system is easy, and convenient.

When I bought this, I was skeptical that it would be stable enough to not rattle like crazy. I have wicked OCD and hate my phone bouncing all over the place, rattling :) I was very surprised that it was actually very stable and had virtually no shaking. I've used other iOtti products in the past and have never been disappointed.

Goes well with garmin 55 gps. Easy to use and sturdy

My first time using an iOttie vent mount and I have to say I really like it, just a couple of things to consider. If you live in a pothole city like me then remember to always check on the mount to make sure it's all the way in. Otherwise a good bump can make the whole thing fall off with your phone in it. Second the unlocking mechanism isn't really as smooth as you like because you'll have to sometimes press it couple of times to stay open, wish it was lil more smoother but no deal breaker. Overall great vent mount you will not be disappointed.

The clip and snap design makes placing your phone on the mount very easy for quick mount and go driving. The only thing I don't like is that sometimes the clip comes loose over time and I have to check it periodically.

Bought this so I could use my phone to help me navigate around. It has a nice sturdy build and is very easy to use. As others have also mentioned, it can get a little loose over time, but is easy enough to resecure.
