The grip to my phone is good, I have not had an experience where the phone snapped off or fell while I was driving. Sometimes though it will bend forward, but a quick adjustment and it is fixed right back to its old angle. If it helps...since I attached it to the air vent, I have not removed the mount anymore so I do not worry that it could crack the vent or that the rubber grip would loosen.

I think if they made the arm a little stronger it would be better. I’ve tightened it as much as I can and some Illinois bumps still make my phone point down a little. Have to adjust it at least once a drive.
