I have up and down air vents in my car and once I place the phone on the holder my vents do not move. The last one I had (another brand) every time I would place my phone on the holder my vent would drop down. and many times fall off the vent as I was driving. The iOttie is very stable and holds in place,

This is the same model I had before, but had been slightly redesigned. Though I didn't have any issues with the original one, this one seems to attach a little more securely to the vent than the other one. It could also be that I paid more attention to the manual while installing this one. Either way, I'm more than happy with this device. It works well and securely holds my phone (iPhone 13 Pro Max).
