It could be the vent placement but I have to adjust it often. I do plan on trying the flush mount option, I just haven't yet. The holder part is nice and holds up well.

Louvre clip worked well but came with additional stick mount that worked best for our car. Easy to pop in and remove. Car driven by kids so wanted non magnetic holder so all can use it.

I have it mounted left of the center dashboard and can see my phone perfectly
