Depends on Type of car

If your shift is on the steering wheel and the vent is not distanced then it may be an awkward set up. best compatible on my car with middle console, not as great on the shift on your wheel.

It seems strong but to put it on the air vent it’s not that steady. But at least you can have the phone at an easy reach. It comes also with the part that you could glue/hook it on the dashboard and then put a phone in there but my car doesn’t have a good spot to permanently set it up. Also, it’s a little bit hard to release so you can take the phone off the device.

Easy to use mount that holds larger phones

i Ottie phone dash mount

Owned for 2 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I originally liked the model that had the automatic sensing grip/release, but the QI wireless charging feature couldn’t keep up with charging the phone when using certain apps involving navigation such as Uber etc. This model although manual works just fine with having the phone plugged in by usb.

To be clear, the holder still would have functioned as intended; the slight droop just kind of bothered me. A good product. It just didn't work out with my particular car.
