Works exactly like it is supposed to. I bought this to replace the suction/sticky version that was supposed to stick to the dashboard, but when it got hot the poor thing just fell off and was useless. My only issue with this one is that you have to be sure to put it on the slat with the slider to help hold it in place- at least in my car. I put it on a higher one and the whole thing with the phone it in went flying, even after I tightened it all the way. So you use a little maneuverability with your air vent, but I suppose we can't have everything.

It’s ok. You kind of need two hands to make this work, meaning it’s a little difficult to try to do anything like put it on or take it off while the vehicle is in motion if you are the driver. The magnet mounted varieties allow you to quickly pop it on and pop it off - this one does not, as it is NOT magnetic but rather a spring loaded “jaw” for lack of a better term that you need to open with one hand while placing your phone in it with the other hand to insert it. To remove your phone, again, you need to stabilize the mechanical contraption while grasping your phone with the other to remove it, making quick connect or disconnect very awkward while driving. As someone that works out of the car a lot and needs to be able to grab and go, or place and go, this isn’t the most convenient way to accomplish the task at hand. However, the magnetic types are getting flimsy and don’t always hold the weight of my phone in the Otter case that I have, so I had to settle for this.

Super easy to use and install. Could be used on any air vent. Ideal if you travel a lot and are in and out of rental cars. Clips your phone in securely every time. Really like this purchase.
