It also sits above my rear camera, and blocks the view.

I had to use the little plastic piece to get it to fit tighter in the CD slot. The directions aren't very helpful for this step, but you just slide it under the lever, flat against the metal strip. Ingenious little phone holder.

I like it better than the suction cup kind because I prefer to have something on my dash rather than in my window, and the suction cups don’t work well on my dash. I never use the CD player and it’s in a perfect spot for my phone so I’ve really liked this one

I've used it for a few weeks, and I think for longevity, it will be important to handle the lock/unlock buttons gently - no yanking the phone out. I would consider reviews that have used it routinely for a few months. So far, so good!
