    You can adjust it for your own personal need. My only issue is that I owened another one in the past and the glue/silicone on the bottom melted due to heat and it wouldn't stick to the dashboard anymore.

    It did ok, for about 3 months before the adhesive gave way. Have yet to have a car mount that the adhesive can withstand the heat of being on a dash.
