The adhesive was never strong enough to hold the weight of my phone while driving. This mount from best buy has been perfect since the day I installed it. I havent had any issues with it falling off or the adhesive losing stickiness. I currently have the 14 pro max and the weight and size of the phone is still no issue for the mount. My mom even bought one for her car because she saw how well mine worked.

If you are hesitant to use this sticky mounting plate then I would not recommend this phone mount; however, if you don't mind that then it works. One note of caution, the tension nuts to keep the mount articulated in the desired position are plastic and could easily break from over torqueing the friction holds so be careful.
