I've gone through a lot of car phone mounts, air vents, CD holder, suction cup mounts and none of them measure up to this. This is the smallest and most compact vent mount I've had and it works great! It easily clips onto your vent tight. It can be a little tough to squeeze and open to mount bit once it's on its not going to come off. The clips have a rubber type material on it to protect your vent and keep it from slipping or moving. What I love the most about this one is as soon as your place your phone inside, it snaps closed tight. There is a small button the back of your phone hits to make it close. It's so much easier then having to use 2 hands to get your phone in. This mount is well made and good quality. The 2 buttons on each side release the phone easily and keep it open for your next use. I would definitely recommend this. This won't be coming out of my car!

Although not complicated to use, the clip mount will occasionally slide off the horizontal vents. In other words, my new Samsung S9 seems to be too heavy. Also, it will not work on vertical vents. It comes right off. I will have to purchase a more sturdy or stronger mount to handle the S9 with a case.

This holder does not work well. There is a button where you place the phone. You press your phone into it but only one side of the holders closes properly. Also, the whole mount fell while I was driving. I am returning it.

The button to open it for the vent are stiff and hard to open. It doesn't stay in place. Regardless of how many times I adjust, it just falls off.

Don't waste your money. The clip doesn't hold up an iPhone. It pulls right off the vent blade. I threw this away.

I drive an older car model, and this holder was very unstable. Ended up returning

Im going to begin this review with my overall thoughts. Great mount for most vehicles and the price point makes it well worth it. Here is my full review: The mount is well built and follows iOttie's proven holding system. It will hold any phone you have and includes pads for ones that are not the traditional size. The grip on the sides of the phone is solid, the removal of the device is simple, and vibration is minimal. The clamping pressure is just right (I have used it with a Note 4, Nexus 6, and an S8+). Adjustment of this mount is easily handled on the back of the unit and can accommodate nearly any vent type. The issue I ran into is placement options. Some vents do not have enough pressure holding them into place which can cause issues with the mount staying upright with a phone mounted. If you have traditional slotted vents then this is no issue but my Jeep Compass vents needed to be turned 180 degrees to accomplish an upright position. My advice on the next mount is to include an additional mounting bracket to extend the clamp of the mount to the bottom of the vent (essentially bracing it) to keep it up right regardless of vehicle vents. Overall a great product for the money and I highly recommend it.

First, I wanted to preface by saying, this isn't my first iOttie. I have been using iOttie since I had my iPhone 4S. This is my third car mount. The previous models were suction with adhesive and worked really well. But the downside is that it had to stick to either your windshield or dashboard, and partially obscure some of your viewing space. Also, after a long hot day, it might fail, and fall down while driving. The one-touch car vent holder does not obscure any of your visibility, and doesn't use any adhesive or suction device to stick to your vehicle. It simply uses a spring-loaded clamp to hold the phone onto the car vent. The clamp spring that is used to grab on to your vent is very strong. And for a number of people, it will probably require two hands to compress the spring. But that's a good thing, since once it clamps down on the air vent, it will not shake loose, no matter how bumpy your road is. I found this out one evening by choosing the wrong lane, and must have hit every crazy pothole along the way. It was so bumpy, I thought I was going to pop my tires or bend the rims. But nevertheless, it continued to hold tight! Something else that is a major plus with mounting to your car vent, is the times when you need to use the GPS on your phone. All the radio activity will cause it to heat up, and can cause your phone to power off for safety. If it's connected to your car vent, you can turn on the air conditioner, to help cool your phone down during its heavy use. The installation instructions are very straightforward. You can read them if you'd like, but it's as simple as screwing in a lightbulb. The cautionary warning of the dangers of texting while driving is more wordy than the instructions. For my phone, I have both an iPhone 6S Plus and also a Motorola Nexus 6. They are probably the bulkiest phones on the market right now. Both fit in the cradle with room to spare, and they're both still in their cases. So you won't have to pop it out of it's protection to make it work. I was honestly expecting the Nexus not to fit, since it has a curved back, and is really chunky. But there is enough to grab it completely, with no concerns of slipping out. I love my other iOttie holders. But the downside is with both models, you had to use both hands to pry open the clamp arms, and then place your phone into it. With the one-touch holder, you can hold your phone securely with one hand, and just squeeze the two points together to easily open the jaws. There's a snap, which locks them into place, so you don't have to continue to squeeze it. And once you place the phone into the holder, the button is depressed, causing the arms to gently close around the phone. Now it's secure, and you can enjoy your drive, focusing on the road ahead of you. Oh, to add... there's also two additional replacement pads, just in case they get worn.

I originally got this for my husband, but he said it didn't clamp properly onto the vents of his Toyota and kept falling off. So I tried it out myself, and I haven't had any problems with it. I think it's a great little cell holder. As others have mentioned, it does take a little strength to open the clip, but that just ensures it has a good grip on your vent. My phone slides down a little bit since I don't have an Otterbox case on it currently, but the side grips are still strong enough to keep it from falling out. I guess the only negative thing I have to say is that it does block the air from your vent, but that should be pretty obvious!

loves it. Excellent product. Easy to install and Strong And fits Great With my iPhone 7 Plus, I will recommended to anyone that likes to drive and be looking at your phone. You can see your phone right up at your level while you drive. It fits perfectly in the vent in my Prius.

I must say that I have only ever used iOttie car mounts. I had read all the wonderful reviews on them before I bought my first one and was so pleased, that I have been using them ever since! This is the first air vent holder I've tried and I was very surprised at how well it stays put. The button to open the clamp piece is a little hard to push but once it's on the vent louver, the only way it will come off, is if you pull it off. I love the fact that it can be used with one hand - you just slap your phone in it and it rests against a button that, when pressed, closes the arms that hold the phone super-tight. It comes with extra pads to put on the arms, so it can be customized to fit your phone. It works beautifully with my iPhone 7 Plus. So glad I got one!!

Wow. Its the first time the I finally got a professional car mount for my smartphone after trying more than 10 others. Its really strong and flexible to adjust to the right. position I won't. And the greatest news about it is that its small and very easy to take it from one car to another. And I will use it as well (when I go to my upcoming vacation trip) in the rental car because its uncomfortable to drive without a car mount. And this is the first one that could be a good idea to travel Thanks iottie for making good products

I've used a couple other car mounts, and this one is my favorite. After mounting, the mount does not cover any part of my iPhone 7 Plus screen. It also has never fallen off of the air vents like some other car mounts I've used. Design also allows easy mounting and discharge.

I love this small and portable cell phone holder. It's easy to use, and fits into the vent very easily. The cell phone stays put very nicely and can be either vertical or horizontal. The only issue my car has with it is that the steering wheel blocks part of the phone screen when it's close to the center console where the charging cord reaches. When I use the cell phone holder on the outside of the steering wheel, the charging cord doesn't reach. If your car vents are in a different location, this vent cell phone holder will work very well for you!

I have used an Iottie windshield mount for several years and it has performed flawlessly. The only drawback was that it was windshield mounted and obstructed my view slightly. I was always a little skeptical about a vent mount bracket, thinking it would be flimsy. After installing this mounting bracket, I have to say that I am very impressed. It is far more stable than my windshield mount and holds my Iphone 7 in place perfectly. The positioning is much better for me but that is more the result of my vent location. Now my phone doesn't obstruct my view at all. The one touch operation has always been the favorite part of my Iottie mounting bracket. Passengers typically think that its a magnetic bracket since the one touch system grabs and releases so well. It is a well designed bracket and I would highly recommend it.

I have the suction cup dashboard version permanently on my car dash, as I prefer my phone mounted higher than the vents, but that mount is really inconvenient to travel with so I got this to use on rental cars when traveling. Mounts securely and the the clamp is large enough to stop my vents from shifting which I didn't think about when getting this initally. Very securely clamps my iPhone 7Plus without the optional pads that shipped with the device which I guess are for smaller phones.

I really like how easy it is to put together holds my phone in place while I drive no more holding my phone in my hands easy to use well made with quality so glad my phone has a good friend to hold on to

After spending a week with the Easy One Touch Mini, I have to give it 5 stars. My phone never fell out of the mount's grip (and I drive a bouncy vehicle). The vent clip is super strong, making it easy to go from one car to another without stability issues. All in all...it works as described. This one is great for people that use their phone without a case or don't want to add the magnet to their device. Great buy and very very portable.
