Don’t bother taking the risk of buying this

Unfortunately it did not adhere well and therefore we could not use it and returned it.

|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I installed the iOttie iTap 2 magnetic dashboard mount in my car yesterday. the install of the mount itself is extremely easy, but it feels rock solid once mounted. it uses a 3M adhesive pad which makes me confident that it will stay in place even through hot summer days. I wanted to use the Metal plate that goes between your case and phone, but my Spigen case did not have anough room and was bulging. This would be a great feature for anyone with a more flexable case. I ended up installing the smaller black plate that is designed to be used on the outside of the case. This is a slim plate that doesent add much bulk to the phone. I had to mount this higher than i would like to work around my case's built in kickstand, but that is an issue with the case and not the mount system. after following the recommendation to not mount the phone to the mount or 30Min. to let the adhesive cure, i tried mounting the phone. This feels solid but with a large note 9 it does wiggle a lot and has fallen off several times when I hit large bumps. I feel like a larger magnetized area on the mount or if I had a smaller phone this would function a lot better.

Everytime I tried to attach the phone to it, the whole thing would fall off, (I don't have a big phone). The glue isn't resistant enough. The whole thing just sucks.

Tried warm water advice...NADA! Didn't work for me at all.

For best results, with wireless-enabled phones, we generally recommend using the small metal plate at the bottom of the phone to avoid blocking the phone's wireless charging feature. If your phone does not have a wireless charging feature, using the large metal plate close to the center of the phone is ideal.
