Magnet is too weak. Falls off all the time. Don’t waste your money.

Doesn’t allow for a fixed position. As soon as I put my iPhone 14 pro max on it just tilts down. Can’t keep it in a fixed position. Not way to tighten it

The item doesn't work as advertised. It doesn't support an iPhone 14 pro max at all. It's not stiff enough to hold the phone and it also pulls the vents closed.

Everytime the car goes over a bump, the phone falls off. The magnet is just not strong enough.

Lasted one month and and stopped charging my phone charged outlets but still nothing also tried different car.

Worked for a few times then stopped charging. Refund issued

I was in the market for a car charger for my iPhone 12 and came across the iOttie Velox MagSafe car charger. I have owned other iOttie car chargers in the past and have had great luck with them...It seemed like it took forever for them to release a MagSafe car charger, but its finally out and Im glad. Unboxing was quick and straightforward. The box holds the charger which has an attached 46" USB C cable. It also included the car cigarette adapter for those who don't have USB C ports already built into their car consoles. The charger is made from soft silicone and is a dark blue color. It attaches to the AC vent blades via an adjustable (tilt) silicone soft clip seen on most of the car vent chargers on the market. It's relatively small at 2.5"w x 3.5"l x 2.25" deep, so it only blocks a smaller percentage of the air vent than other vent chargers. It's sleek and I like the color but it also has a gold band around the vent clip which seems a bit tacky. I was never a fan of anything gold plated and wish it was a brushed steel instead. No big deal since you really don't see it and it's the charging function that really matters. Speaking of charging, the Velox is a 7.5W fast charger so it will get an iPhone recharged relatively quickly. I typically use car chargers just to maintain my iPhone's charge while using a GPS/Navigation app or the app that connects to my radar detector during long drives. My iPhone, which has a MagSafe case on it, snapped to it with authority and was very secure the entire time I had to connected to the Velox. I believe that it will work with non MagSafe cases but won't be as secure. The Velox was very solidly attached to the car vent blades and I never had a a concern it would detach from them at any point. Overall it's a great car vent charger, but I didn't give it 5 stars for two reasons. One is for the gold accent color and the other is because its a bit more expensive than its competitors. I imagine it may be more expensive because it provides the full 7.5W charging where others do not, but who knows. So far, I really like the iOttie Velox charger and hope it continues to perform this well far into the future.

The iOttie - Velox 7.5 watt wireless charger/mount for you car does a good job keeping your Magsafe compatible iPhone in a position to receive a wireless charge. It charges my device relatively quickly for a car based wireless charger and is a good addition. While using a Magsafe compatible case I had no issue effectively charging my device and keeping secured. With other cases, no so much - so just a word of caution if you have a device with a thicker case, this will likely not be either an effective wireless charger or mount. As for the build of the wireless mount, it is a quality built and has a pretty good mechanism for attaching to most car AC vents, the plus is also keeps your device cool (providing you have your AC on) as heat buildup is sometimes an issue with wireless charging and cases. The mount has a wire for powering the wireless charger, it has a USB-C end which you need to plug in to a compaible charger or car jack, the unit comes with a USB-C to lighter power receptacle adapter so if you have an avaialble receptacle this works well, although it seems the the lighter type car power receptable is quickly becoming an extinct technology as both my 2022 cars only have one in the dashboard. Pros: - works well with Magsafe accessories - for wireless charging it does a fine job - nice clip to vent mount. Cons: - thick cases cause problems with charging and mounting if they don't meet Magsafe specs.

The iOtti does what it says it will do, which is charge my iPhone with Magsafe, but its not without its issues. This will NOT work with your phone in a case. I don't know of anyone who carries an iphone without a case, so I'm not sure who this product is aimed at. The Magnet is strong enough to hold the phone through most driving, but there were a few times when I had to brake hard or turn quickly, an my phone fell off the charger-- without a case. The phone was okay, but it was unnerving to see such an expensive piece of hardware go sailing across my car. Your vent is also unusable. The Phone complety blocks the flow of air, and the weight pulls it almost closed. In the winter, this may not be a big deal, but Summers here are brutal. I need all the air circulation I can get. This was super easy to use, just plug in the cigarette lighter and clip it onto your vent, and it kept my phone charged wihile using my phone for navigation, but not being able to use a case with this charger was a deal breaker.

I have an iPhone 13 Pro Max and this charger holds it with no problem at all. No need to worry about it falling off. I like the size of it. Not bulky at all. Fits right in the vent of my car. It’s cool that it also charges your phone while it’s mounted which is pretty much the reason why I gave it four stars. The charge doesn’t seem as strong. Wish it could’ve at least have been 10w but something is better than nothing. I really don’t like that you cannot detach the charging cord from the mount. Huge downfall for me. When my phone doesn’t need a charge I would’ve liked not having to deal with the cord. It truly gets in the way for me. Maybe others won’t have this experience. But it would’ve been nice to be able to detach it at will. Also, depending on the type of vehicle you have, while the phone is on the mount your vent may not be able to hold the weight of the phone and the mount. It works fine in my vehicle but the weight of my phone (iPhone 13 pro max) and the mount wouldn’t hold up in my wife’s vehicle. (I had to put it on the middle vents which blocked the screen). Overall, good mount and you will at least not lose any battery on your phone while charging. If a new model is released I truly hope it features a detachable charging cord.

The Velox magnetic wireless air van Mount charger by Ottie is excellent. Compatible with newer iPhones such as the 12 to 13 13 pro. I love that the magnets hold the phone in place, even on bumpy roads. I have a Mac safe charge compatible case on my phone, and it still holds it very firmly. And with up to 7.5-watt wireless charger support, it is very fast. The Velox can be mounted easily in a secure and easy operating location while keeping attention on raod. It was beneficial on my family's last road trip, and I could use navigation and just glance over at my phone. With the moving event mount, you can see your phone from almost any view. It also has a siliconized construction that helps with them from scratching or abrasions to your phone. It also has an aluminum housing that disperses heat well from your phone. Of course, that's a win-win. It has a very long cord and a cigarette lighter plug-in adapter. My only real drawback was the lack of the option for maybe a suction cup mount. That would definitely improve this one.

This is a great little charger. It's very simple to use and install. It holds on great to both of my vehicle's vents. The piece that connects to the vent holds it there very well. I went over dirt road, rough streets, and the it never came detached from the vent. My phone however did not fare so well as the magnet on my phone came off and stayed stuck to the charger. Once the box was opened for the charger, I was able to to simply walk outside and mount the charger to the vent in my truck. The magnet on the charger was easy to attach to my phone I simply held up my phone and it connected to the charger. I highly recommend this charger if you are okay with attaching it to your vent. It charges the phone very well and it came with a long enough charging cord to reach the power points in both of the vehicles that I had used it in. Overall the charger was simple to install and easy to use. Again I do highly recommend it if you are okay with attaching something to your vent. I have nothing negative to say about this charger.

This is a pretty nice solution if you don't want to keep a suction cup plastered to your windshield all the time if you have a MagSafe equipped phone. Setup is a piece of cake, as you'd expect. You find a vent that you'd like to mount it to and just slide the split back piece over the vent fins. Then just plug the USB-C cable into the provided car lighter adapter (or any other USB-C outlet that might come with your car). That's all there is. Just place your phone and it sticks really nicely. Build quality is pretty good. Everything feels nice and heavy. Nothing feels cheap. The rubber is a nice quality. I did have a small hiccup on my unit where the rubber wasn't fully pressed into the edge on one small spot around the front, but I don't really notice it since just pushing it into the edge where it should have been. I was impressed with how well the magnet stuck. I'm using an official Apple leather case that has MagSafe included so I'm sure that helps. I am not 100% sure that it works through a case that doesn't have MagSafe, though. Wireless charging speed is fine enough. It doesn't feel blazingly fast but it's wireless charging so I don't expect it to. It was enough to keep my phone alive when driving around and give it a little boost to keep it alive for a bit. The biggest reason for wanting something like this is the positioning of the phone when it's attached, I feel, is pretty perfect. It's not up and in front of your view, and it's not way down by your cup holders or anything. It's just a simple glance to the side, pretty much. Having GPS up is great. The positioning is good enough that Face ID usually unlocks the phone when you glance at it too. The only thing I would have changed was to make the power cord connected to the bottom detachable. It would have been nice to have USB-C on both ends so you could have the ability to use your own cable if you wanted, or just to not have any cable connected and use it just for holding your phone. It's nice that they don't lock you into using the car lighter for power but I would have liked the ability to use other cables as well as the ability to just not use it for power without having the cord dangling on the floor. All in all, it's a nice phone holder and charger. Might be a little bit on the pricey side but the build quality is good and it works well so if you're looking for something like this and this is in your budget, then go ahead and give it a shot.

This is probably the best phone charger I’ve had and I've tried several different chargers. It's easy for me to swap this charger out of one vehicle and into the next, and I haven't hit a single bump in the road yet that's made my phone drop. I'd buy this charger again, but I do have an iPhone 14 pro max, so if I had one complaint I'd ask for the magnetized back to be slightly larger.

I value my time. I know when it comes to charging your device it's healthy to charge it slowly or "trickle charge'. This can be time consuming and some people simply don't have the time. Especially when you have to commute and fumbling with a lightning connector and the 50/50 chance if you have the USB side turned correctly while having your eyes on the road. Even writing about doing this brings back some very close calls while on the road. It's such a comfort that you can just throw it on and it holds it for you in plain view, not only that but charges your iPhone fairly quickly. The base comes with a TYPE-C car charger that goes in the electrical port or "lighter port" for some of the older car models. It takes about 10-15 minutes to get a ten percent charge while the screen is off. It charges a bit slower when you 're using it with Waze or Maps apps. It fit pretty well on my car vents but my only dilemma is the fact I have to re-position it too much when first trying to get it to sit right. I'm wondering how it will hold up with time.

After using many, many vehicle phone mounts I have FINALLY ended my search. This air vent mount by iOttie checks all the boxes. First, for anyone who knows me they know I hold quality as the most important factor with aesthetics as a VERY close second. Fortunately this has both. This is a well-made mount that combines a solid feel while keeping weight to a minimum. Excellent design and craftsmanship, nothing flimsy or cheap in feel or appearance. The rubber-like coating of the mount prevents scratching, even the vent clip is coated. Not the typical plastic you find on most other vent clip mounts. The magnet is strong and has securely held my iPhone 13 Pro Max in place. I've had no movement or sliding. Another small detail I appreciate is the color. Almost all mounts of any type are black. Here you have a medium to dark blue. I really love the bit of color this provides. Something else I appreciate is the USB-C connectivity. This does come with a cigarette plug adapter for those who do not have USB-C connections in their vehicle. My vehicle has two USB-C connections and I like being able to plug directly into these. By the way, the cord is color matched to the mount. Charging speeds are what you would expect from a 7.5W supply. Nothing earth shattering, but it does the job well. All in all this is really the best phone mount I've had the pleasure of using. I would definitely recommend to friends or family.

Often times in your car because of limited space it can be difficult to have a mount and charge your phone. My van has odd shaped vents and the one I typically use to mount my phone is on driver side near the door. Which is great for visibility and easy to access but makes it difficult to charge as I would have to run a long cable across the steeering wheel. I have tried several other mounts and while I have had some to use on the vents between the driver and passenger it has always been an awkward position and made it harder to use. When I received this iOttie mount I was intrigued because it had a pivot point on the mount that I had not seen on other mounts. I mounted in the middle where it often is close to the power source but doesn’t quite face me because of my vent shaped but with this pivot point I’m able to point my phone towards me and now I have the best of both worlds I can finally charge my phone and access it with ease. The strength of the magnets is very strong your phone will stay in place very easily. I highly recommend this if your looking for a charger and phone holder for your phone the design make it usable in a lot of cars that with older designs it would not work.

This phone holder has a much better gripping format than a certain other competing brand. You can actually “clip” it onto a vent without the need for a little kickstand support— and its held my 13 Pro Max just fine this whole time while keeping it charging. Very quality, much recommend.

I had a different brand wireless MagSafe charger in the car for over a year. It was fine, but large, round, and the phone wasn’t super “stuck” to it. Enter iOttie. High quality as expected! Soft touch materials all around, oblong shape that actually fits the phone perfectly. The magnet connection on this one is VERY solid. It clicks into place and does not move while driving over bumpy roads. The clip is soft touch and grabs the vent just as it should without damaging any surfaces. Please note—the “wireless” part refers to the fact there is no need to plug anything into your phone. Of course you have to connect the actual charger to a power source in your car, and the cord and adapter are provided if you need one. USB-C, so most cars already have a jack these days and no need for the adapter. I highly recommend iOttie brand, and this wireless MagSafe car charger is no exception! The color is a bit odd because I like my charger to fade into the black dash, but navy is all the rage, so this ticks that box too.
