My local Best Buy is an authorized Apple repair location and got me in quickly to replace my failing iPhone battery.

So glad Best Buy replaced my battery. Now I can use my phone all day without having it plugged in all the time.

Very poor customer service! There was only ONE associate at the service area to help multiple people. I had made an appointment, but waited nearly 1/2 hour to even be acknowledged and, even after that the associate was trying to guide another employee (obviously a new trainee) while helping me! Ridiculous! Then when I came back to pick up my phone, I was told that they had stripped one of the small screws on the phone and were not able to open the phone. I was told I needed to take the phone to a repair facility, have the stripped screw removed, and come back!!!! (I should add that we were experiencing a severe thunderstorm at this time)! However, I DID as instructed, returned with the phone and was told that I could pick up the phone the following day at about 5:30 pm! And I’m now being asked for a review???? Well you have it!!!

The Geek Squad replaced the battery in no time and did a great job putting the protective cover back on.

I set up a geek squad appointment for my iPhone 6 battery to be replaced. While I hoped it would be a one day process, the geek informed me the first meeting would be to run a diagnostic on my phone and the batter will be replaced at a later date. I am happy with this service as I don’t need to travel much further to an Apple store.

I needed my iPhone X battery replaced. In doing so, I was informed that the speaker would also need to be removed and replaced because of the way the battery replacement worked. Free speaker! On top of this, the Agent working informed me that my iPhone X was eligible for a free screen replacement on Apple’s behalf, so I got a free screen with new FaceID and front speaker thrown in there too. Geek squad is the best!

Best Buy has a great staff of technicians who are human and understand the customers’ frustrations. The technicians I had worked hard to resolve the problems I was having and were kind and patient with me. I’ll go back if there are any more problems, that’s for sure. Plus, the store had plenty of distraction for the 6-year old I had with me while awaiting the repair!

My phone went for a battery replacement and it ended up not working after geek squad replaced it. Could not use it longer than 5 minutes. They said it was because when they opened the phone there was a loose cable and that in order to replace just the cable they would have to replace the whole screen that was perfectly fine and wanted to charge me another almost $400 to "fix" it. Ridiculous. My phone had no issues at all before it and I regret giving any money to them seeing that my phone came out unusable when I was just getting a battery replacement

Our battery life was failing so we took advantage of "battery gate" and had both our phones updated with new batteries. So far a 6S can work with the latest OES versions, so these older phones keep on trucking.
