I have bought about a dozen iPhone battery replacements from Best Buy and the experience depends on the staff. Some staff treat you like a child as if I don’t know the implications of changing the battery. Other staff are efficient and as well trained as Apple staff. You get genuine parts and the schedule is more open than Apple.

My phone went for a battery replacement and it ended up not working after geek squad replaced it. Could not use it longer than 5 minutes. They said it was because when they opened the phone there was a loose cable and that in order to replace just the cable they would have to replace the whole screen that was perfectly fine and wanted to charge me another almost $400 to "fix" it. Ridiculous. My phone had no issues at all before it and I regret giving any money to them seeing that my phone came out unusable when I was just getting a battery replacement

I scheduled a battery replacement for my phone. I showed up, paid, left my phone with them, and was told to return about three hours later.
When I returned, they were really cagy and weird and said they needed until the next afternoon for the replacement. I needed the phone for the morning for a work trip, so I asked if I could just have it back and bring it back another time. At that point they admitted that they had stripped the screws trying to get into the phone. I was frustrated and tried to talk with them about options, but they essentially told me to kick rocks. The manager was rude and dismissive and the whole experience was really disappointing.
I ended up contacting Apple while sitting in the parking lot outside. This was an older iPhone and any warranties or coverage had long expired, so I didn't expect much, but I wanted them to know that their "certified" techs sucked.
Long story short, I ended up with a brand new iPhone 16 for free from Apple. I didn't push or demand or anything. Like I said, my goal was for Apple to know how terrible Best Buy was. Apple ended up going way above and beyond in their customer care. Literally the polar opposite of Best Buy.
I would absolutely not go here (Harrisonburg, VA Best Buy) for apple service.

Dropped off my phone in the morning and was ready to be picked up in the afternoon. Battery lasts longer now. Saved me some money since I don’t have to buy a new phone. Thanks Geek Squad!

My agent was great. The problem was my order got cancelled. I tried to call & you can’t get a person in the store so I had to make an appointment & had to wait when I got there & was told my order somehow had been cancelled. I had already payed, Agent had to make new order & I had to leave my phone for a couple of hours. Took 12 days altogether, was originally old it would be 2-3 days.

Turned in my Apple mobile phone about a month ago at the Geek squad department, 3 hours and a few questions later got my device back with a brand new battery. So far it's working fine.

Scheduled appointment to fix broken screen. Got there and asked for battery replacement for iphone6s plus. They have it in stock and did it for me fairly quickly. Great customer focus service.

I did not know Best Buy was contracted with Apple to replace iphone batteries but this was the best decision. Now I don't have to go all the way to Arden Fair to get it done at Apple.

My wife's iPhone 6 was at 100% one minute and dead the next. After getting the new battery put in, it's working like a new one again. Geek Squad had it done in less than an hour, thanks!

Very poor customer service! There was only ONE associate at the service area to help multiple people. I had made an appointment, but waited nearly 1/2 hour to even be acknowledged and, even after that the associate was trying to guide another employee (obviously a new trainee) while helping me! Ridiculous! Then when I came back to pick up my phone, I was told that they had stripped one of the small screws on the phone and were not able to open the phone. I was told I needed to take the phone to a repair facility, have the stripped screw removed, and come back!!!! (I should add that we were experiencing a severe thunderstorm at this time)! However, I DID as instructed, returned with the phone and was told that I could pick up the phone the following day at about 5:30 pm! And I’m now being asked for a review???? Well you have it!!!

My Iphone battery had failed. Apple stores were to far away to go get it changed. The local Best Buy offered this service at a reasonable cost. The time to get it changed was less than 24 hrs, I recommend this service to anyone. The store personnel were friendly and helpful.

I very much appreciate that Best Buy was able to install my new iPhone battery that was provided by Apple as it helped my iPhone to receive a longer charge.
