I bought this just to see if it was worth it. We cleaned the down stairs before we purchased the 770 to see how good of a job it would do. Setup was easy with the included DVD. We let it charge fully and then set it to work. It went everywhere for about forty minutes then returned to the dock. The bin was half full with pet hair and dirt. I was shocked to see how much cat fur it picked up and continues to pick up every cleaning at 2am. I am glad Best Buy has such a good return policy cause that is why I tried this unit out. Now I have seen it in action it is a keeper. Be sure your floors are clear of loose cloths, shoes etc for it to not get stuck. If it does it shutdown and you'll have place back on the charger dock. I am very seriously considering another for upstairs.

Great Help with not having to vacuum up dog hair as often

This unit is great once we learned how to use it and gave it time to used to our environment. This is for spot cleaning not big jobs. We clogged it a number of times as the dust bin is very small. Once we confined it to one large living area and cleared out object (we have 3 kids so not an easy task). Overall it has been welcomed as a member of our family!

My wife loves this vacuum. It saves her tons of time. She rarely needs to run the regular vacuum after getting this Roomba.

My Roomba not only allows me time to multi-task housework, but it also goes in places I can't get to with a regular vacuum (under the bed, under furniture). I am amazed at how much dirt it picks up. You would still need a regular or smaller vacuum for furniture or stairs. I love my Roomba, would not want to be without it!!

Vacuum is good. It seems to take a several uses for it to understand the dynamics of the room and get efficiency to its path. A bit noisy but you can leave the sweeping to it while you do other cleaning. I do recommend picking up any loose or small cords, rugs that slide and such.

I have 4 dogs in the house & all of them shed. No way I can vaccum every day. This helps me feel more comfortable with not vaccuming every day. I run the iRobot every night. Unreal the amt of dirt it picks up every night. It does better on smoothe floors than carpeting. In my situation, I still vaccum once a wk. However, I 'm not totally frustrated with seeing dog hair all over, & the dirt & grass the dogs bring in, all the tiime. I've only had it a mo., but at this point, I'm really happy with it.

Convenient, efficient and reliable ... a little bit expensive

I used to spend 45 mins a day vacuuming myself. It was back breaking work. Now all I have to do is empty a tray into a garbage can, knock the filter a few times and I'm done in less than 1 min! I do maintenance once a month. This vacuum is good for rooms that are not cluttered. It gets all the little dust and particles that can build up daily. It keeps rooms nice and clean. This vacuum is the perfect side kick to a person who likes to clean, not a person who doesn't like to clean. It will not clean everything up, but it will help you clean 100000 times faster.

Cleans up dust and dog hair. Every time, full bucket. I couldn't believe how much it actually picked up. A broom/vacuum could never do this

My parents gave us (wife and I) one years ago. It was more of a novelty thing them but still performed. I bought this one for my wife because she complains about the dogs bringing in leaves. I like the programmability and it's improved pickup. I would highly recommend these to friends and family.

I first thought it was a toy, yet the performance was more than acceptable, and you will need this to supplement the housecleaning service, especially if you own pet. This product kind of represents technology in our future lifestyle. The first unit had censor defect, but the second unit performs well so far, I highly recommend buying insurance for this product, as any high tech unit, and it is not toy priced.

I have recommended it to a friend. she came to my home to learn about it and watch it work She wants one and I offered to take her to Best Buy to get one. We are going to do this next week.

I have four dogs. I dog sit for four more dogs on a daily basis. I babysit 1 - 3 of my grandchildren on a daily basis. The roomba 770 has been a miracle worker in our house. It picks up all of the dog hair and all of the crumbs from my 2 legged and 4 legged charges. The only drawback is cleaning the brushes. I often run my roomba 2 to 3 times a day. I would like to try the 800 series to see how much less cleaning of the brushes it requires. I am encouraging my adult children to purchase their own roombas. I REALLY like my roomba, "Sugar"

The roomba is okay but has a mind of its own. Have to make sure everything is picked up off the floor otherwise it will get stuck and stop. The navigation on the roomba is kinda poor but it gets everything done.

This little vaccuum is pretty incredible. I have no idea how it figures out its path, but coming home to a freshly vaccumed house is amazing. The suction is very powerful and I'm always surprised by the amount that this little device picks up every time I empty the tray. I'm a HUGE fan!

I absolutely LOVE my iRobot Roomba! I have fibromyalgia, and vacuuming is one of the most painful chores I do....but not anymore! My husband bought me this before Christmas as a surprise. It was the BEST gift I have ever gotten! We jokingly call it my "boyfriend!" It cleans thoroughly, it is durable, and it is really easy to clean. It opens right up and comes with cleaning tools that are effective yet simple. It is expensive for sure, but worth every penny!

I say that it works good on tile and hardwood floors. Does work okay on short carpets but we use the main upright vacuum on the carpets. Picks up the dog hair and any particles on the hard floors. We are happy with this. Cleaning the vacuum is not too bad but must be done after every use. Saves time for us.
