Watch out if you have black in your carpet!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is phenomenal on light color carpet. However the majority of it's use for my house is on tile floor with an area rug. It does a decent job on the tile but don't expect that you won't have to sweep at least every other week. Also, be careful if you have black in your carpet and stairs too. Roomba's ledge sensors think the black carpet is a ledge and it gets trapped. I used some aluminum foil to override the ledge sensors, but now if I don't close the basement door it will fall down the stairs.

Perfect for major pet fuzzies
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We have a blond dog, orange cat and dark hardwood floors. Roomba doesn't scare them and keeps the floors fur free! I don't know how I would keep the floors looking good without it! It does get stuck but I have a few tricky corners and I should use the electronic walls. I love it!

Awsome Product
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I currently purchased this Roomba 760 after returning a Roomba 560 i had bought for $350 (On sale at Best Buy). I liked the Roomba 560 so much i decided to return it and pay the $$150 difference difference for the Roomba 760 ($100 off at Best Buy). I originally was going to get a Dyson, but considering how much you spend on a Dyson, (most vacuums either get kept in a closet our out of site from other people) I figured i would spent almost the same amount and have something to show off. It really is fun to watch and i never relized my carpet was (I use to vaccum every other day) It rally picks up a lot of dust that you wouldn't even think was on your carpet. The battery life is great. i have no problem with it getting stuck or caught up on anything.I will definently be upgrading when the next big updates come out for the Roomba line.

Does what it is supposed to do
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have 2 Dogs and a fairly big LR area and the Roomba is doing a great job keeping it clean. I just wish it had a bigger container since I have to empty it every day. So, it is great, but I think it is still an expensive toy to have.

Good robotic cleaner
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have used this for almost 2 years now. No problems yet. Cleans effectively on both carpet and hardwood and transitions between surfaces with easy. Even picks up pet hair. Don't expect Dyson quality but good enough to get the job done. The container fills up pretty quickly for an average sized room. Comes with replacement filters that lasts. Overall satisfied and worth it for the convenience of having a clean home by the time you are back from work.

A Must Have If You Have Pets
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is such a great vacuum, not because of its performance, but because it is so convenient and gets the job done. We have two bulldogs who shed constantly and we used to come home every day to find hair on the floor. We have hardwood throughout our place and Roomba usually gets all of the dog hair up. It is scheduled to run every day and it has done a great job of cleaning. We do have to do a little cleaning and maintenance on the Roomba once a week but it is still worth it. It picks up a ridiculous amount of hair, so much so that we empty a full bin every day.

Don't have pets but I have a wife that sheds like
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This thing works great. We have all wood and tile floors downstairs and my wife swept and mopped on Sunday, bought the iRobot on Monday and used it that evening and it was still picking up dust and dirt. If you have hardwood or tile floors, I would definitely give this thing a try as we all know those type of floors are high maintenance. It may be a little noisy but I have it set to clean and almost finish by the time I get home from work just in time for me to empty the bin and let it do its thing...

Roomba 770 is great
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This thing is great! We have a dog and it picks up an amazing amount of dog hair we had no idea was even there. It's very thorough. Wish the battery life was longer and / or easier to change out, so you could charge one battery while using the other. Also, it sometimes gets entangled on the fringe of oriental carpets, but it figures out that it's stuck and shuts down. We really like this appliance and we're really glad we bought it. The electronic fences that come with the Model 770 are very handy for restricting it to a certain room or space.

Fun to watch
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy to start using. We spent quit a bit of time watching how it made its way around the house and finding out what we had to get out of its path(some cords used for charging devices). We were amazed at how much dust it picked up. Over all very happy with our purchase.

I'm too Good to Vacuum
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm too good to vacuum. I leave that tedious chore to my robot. It works hard every day to keep our place looking like a maid just visited. It doesn't require tips, praise or time off. It just gives a happy chime when it starts and when it finishes. Just make sure you pick up your clutter so the robo-servant doesn't get stuck. You should really pick up your clutter anyway. You're trying to keep your place looking nice right? In short, I have developed love feelings for this little robot. I'm trying to get it to date my iPhone. They'd have beautiful children. Hopefully they'd make little iRoombas that dust my shelves. I am too good for that too.

Does what is advertised and more
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Amazing product. If you already spent a lot on a Dyson then the price of a Roomba is within the same range. If keeping your home's floor clean 24x7 is something you want, then this is a great alternative to vacuuming every day or hiring somebody to do it. I have my Roomba scheduled for 6 days/week on the 1st floor of a house that is about 1200 sq ft and "L" shaped with all hardwood with some area rugs. A typical cleaning cycle takes about an hour. In short, it does everything that iRobot advertises. However there are a few details that were a pleasant surprise: 1) Very easy to maintain - no tools necessary and takes a couple min. 2) Can get under furniture better than a person with an upright. 3) Cleans around baseboards very well. 4) Automation is pretty fool proof. If you watch the instructional videos and read the manual, the Roomba should run without issues. You should also vacuum thoroughly before you start using the Roomba or you will be emptying the bin a couple times while it's doing it's thing. You may see it miss a few spots . My theory on this is that the automation is somewhat random so having the Roomba run daily minimizes this. So what do you do with your Dyson? You will still need a vacuum for the few places where the Roomba can't go like stairs, plus you may want to manually vacuum everyone once in a while to see if the Roomba is keeping up with the dirt levels. Also, in an ironic twist, my Dyson does a great job of cleaning the HEPA filters and brushes of the Roomba! Already ordered a 2nd Roomba for upstairs, but need the 780 model with the lighthouse feature.

Great floor cleaner
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Received this as a Christmas gift and I don't know how we ever lived without it. We keep a very clean home and we go through boxes of swifter pads monthly. Even with clean floors, it is amazing what this little machine picks up each day. We make sure to clean out the collection basket after each use and the roller brush weekly. Works like a champ each time. Battery life seems to be slowly diminishing, but it is hard to tell for sure because we generally run it when we go off to bed. Would recommend to anyone who enjoys really clean floors.

Fantastic product!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Roomba 770 is a great help around the house. I press start before i leave for work and come home and find the Roomba charging! This is a must for dog owners. Nothing keeps dog hair under control like daily vacuuming and now all I have to do is set a schedule!

Great little gadget...wife loves it!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. All in all we are very happy with this model. It does an excellent job at picking up on carpet, oak floor and ceramic tile. It even gets into places that my wife doesn't normally have access to; i.e., under the couches, kitchen/dining room tables, etc. Also, seems to get along great with our dog.

Never need to vacuum again
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This product is amazing. I've waited a couple months to do a review so that way I could find all of its flaws. I've set it up once when I've first got it and my floors have been vacuumed twice a week, every week. I program it to vacuum at noon so when I leave for work in the morning, by the time i get home i have a clean home with vacuumed floors. She is part of my family now. I've named her Rosie. The only flaw I've found with this product is that the docking station that it connects to for recharging is very light. Sometimes Rosie will knock the station to the side which makes it impossible for her to re-dock to it; and i'll have to set her back on the station when i get home.

Works Great
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Using this to clean large carpeted living room, three carpeted bedrooms, and a laminate kitchen floor. Each room is cleaned individually. It picks up great as along as the brush is clean. Being such a small brush, it wraps with hair and such fairly quickly, but it was expected. The bin holds quite a bit of stuff, but normally fills with cat hair during my runs. Overall, I would highly recommend this.

Working well
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Since this is our first robot vacuum I am not 100% sure what to expect. But so far its working well at picking up the dirt and pet hair. It's even making its way over the many throw rugs we have on our tile floors and navagating arounds all our furniture and dog. Buy this product.

In love
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was so skeptical and against spending the money. I've been telling my husband no for a few years. I even cried frustrated tears when he gifted it to me for Mother's Day. After all he wanted it, not me. I'm so in love! I have two small kids and this saves me so much time and even works better than I could clean with our old vacuum! In telling everyone!

Roomba 770
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We previously owned a model 550 for a number of years. When it died from overuse, we upgraded to the model 770. No complaints with the 770's cleaning ability: it does an exceptional job. While we recommend Roomba without hesitation, the 770 has a problem that we never encountered with the 550. That is, it loses its settings the majority of times it gets hung up on something. Yesterday, I had to twice reprogram what day it was, what schedule it should run, and so on. This is extremely annoying and seems to represent a bug in the system. We're returning the unit today for a replacement (also a 770). If this continues to happen even with a new unit, then we'll know that it's a manufacturing defect.
