While most sequels fall short of their much hyped predecessors (which the first IRON MAN certainly was), IRON MAN 2 is definitely a good follow up. The first movie introduces us to the characters, and have all the whiz-bang, boom of a summer blockbuster. This second installment spends much of its time focused on Tony Stark's backstory, specifically his relationship with his father. Stark also deals with the physical consequences of using an energy source to run his heart. IRON MAN 2 also gives plenty of hints for it's upcoming franchise movies with the appearance of S.H.I.E.L.D. director Nick Fury (played by Samuel L. Jackson). Finally, while the movie does get bogged down a bit with the introspections of Tony Stark, the movie delivers in the end with an exciting action sequence that only Iron Man, and now joined by his buddy War Machine, can bring. PS--And don't forget to watch the extra scene after the credits roll for another extra hint of an upcoming summer movie :)

Great sequel to IM-1. The introduction of the Avengers and plot lines tying in the two movies was great. Sad to say as phenomenal as it was having Gweneth Paltrow in it (aka: Pepper Potts) I will be glad to see her go in the next movie. Her character became a complete downer in this movie...I gotta say I loved the addition of Mickey Rourke and Samual L. Jackson. I think the whole story line was great. And I gotta say I hated Don Cheatle as Brody.....come on bring the real Brody back. The BluRay not only having the DVD copy but the Digital Copy is awesome to watch and the DVD Extras were awesome. Great purchase If I must say so.....I hope Capt. America and the new Hulk can live up to IM-2...its some pretty tall shoes.

Iron Man 2 isn't quite what I wanted, but it is far better than anticipated. The first Iron Man was unique and cannot be touched in its quality for a long time. This one is a worthy sequel however. Tony Stark has gone back to his former self in the sense of pride and arrogance, but has not stooped back down in his morals, excluding his addiction to alcohol. He is the most popular man on earth and has everything he could ever want, except for time. Ironically his chest piece that is keeping him alive is also killing him giving him the mentality of living life to the fullest. Whiplash comes into the picture and puts doubt into the world’s mind of whether or not Iron Man is capable of keeping his promises of world peace and the Iron Man tech. This only adds more instability to Tony’s life and begins his fall from fame. This new Iron Man story is a great installment to what will become a great super hero series. Must see for this summer. Period.

This movie truly delivered. I've read a lot of people give credit to IM2 for "sheer entertainment value" they should also acknowledge that it's smart, well structured and offered GREAT performances. Oscar level performances to go with the thrills and the laughs mark a huge winner in my book. Iron Man was a great film and IM2 did most everything movie one did but often expanded on it. After going darker and deeper with Tony, they placed him again in "creator" mode just like the first movie. This gave some of the same flavor to the film as the first. That was a wonderful creative decision. Add the best final act in comic movie history and why wouldn't this be called one of the best ever?

Title says it all. Awesome movie. Good expansion off the first one. Introduces a cool new villan. Hero struggles with his own mortality. A LOT more action scenes with iron man and the new war machine. Great acting too. Robert Downey Jr is probably about 50% of the reason why the movie is so good. Also prefered Don Cheadle as Rhodes. Howard did an OK job in the first one, but actor wise I think Cheadle captures the spirit of the character more and has more of a dynamic relationship with Downey Jr. Great purchase.

While Iron Man 2 may not be perfect, it is a very solid and fun sequel. Improvements include better action sequences and some great characters added to the franchise. Unfortunately there is a lot going on here and even though it isn't hard to follow, there isn't enough time to give each sub plot the proper screen time it deserves. Oddly enough for a super hero film, I think they could have edited some of the talky scenes down and added a little more Iron Man action. Loved the way they introduced Black Widow, maintained the action as well as some humor, overall great film.

Iron Man 2 picks up where the first movie ended. The movie is a lot of fun and has plenty of action. What I didn't like about the movie was the laser focus on Tony Stark. Mickey Rourke was under utilized in this film and I found that to be a shame. The scenes he was in were fantastic and much more interesting than Tony struggling with his daddy issues. I wish Marvel would learn that developing a bad guy can be a good thing. The introduction of Scarlett Johansson was great. She was sexy, smart, and tough. Everything you want to see in a female version of James Bond.

As with many sequels, this one just upped the ante on action but did not put as much effort into a well-crafted story. It has always perplexed me that, with all the years of outstanding stories available in the comic books, screenwriters still manage to make a hash of story pacing, sequencing and plot points. It is either too much so it is slavish to the original or too sparse as the writer tries to do something new. This movie tries to straddle that chasm and is only mildly successful. The big box office supports a third installment, but I hope that all involved learn from their errors and put more attention into a riveting story. They've got the SFX down, but those are useless today without characters that you can invest in emotionally!

Iron Man 2 is an action packed movie. The graphics, technology and scenery are amazing. The actors fit so well with each other and Robert Downey Jr. is just fine!! We just wish that we had a home movie theatre with surround sound, it would have been perfect. We recommend this for just about everyone. :)

For me, this sequel did not live up to the hype. There were some slow and/or lulling moments throughout the film. At the debut opening for this film, my girlfriend accused me of even falling asleep during some parts. Unfortunately, she was right! This problem was compounded (for me) considering the fact that she had purchased the tickets for this movie "months" in advance...for $35 a pop! (*Gold Class Theaters). Nevertheless, there were several "redeeming" action scenes that made this movie worth adding to my blu-ray collection.

This is an awesome film, with great action, and a good plot. The CGI first rate..... even better than the first Iron Man. Now the bad news.... the blu-ray disk is horrible. It freezes several times during the movie. My player is 6 months old and I just updated the software. I tried it on a different player, and it did the same thing. It's seriously annoying , as it interrupts the flow of the movie.

Great action packed movie that I enjoyed from the beginning to the end. This movie isn't as good as the 1st one, but its still extremely fun to watch. RDJ does a great job once again, and Mickey Rourke is amazing as well. I have definitely watched this movie a few times since I got it and I have enjoyed it every time. The movie doesn't deserve the hate it gets.

We loved the first Iron Man, so we couldn't wait to see this one in the theater. Once we had it, we had to buy it. It's too bad that they didn't keep the original opening sequence. I think it was hilarious and added quite a bit to the movie as far as Tony's state of mind. Terrific flick!

Amazing plot, awesome quality. The 3-Disc pack that I got is great. Being able to have a Blu-Ray for the PS3 and HD, and a DVD for when we go on a trip, and they only have DVD is a great thing. The digital copy is perfect for loading onto my "iDevices" since Macs don't have a Blu-Ray drive, and the digital copy is in full HD.

its hard for a sequel to live up to part 1. but this movie does it all...superior acting, casting, effects, etc. I couldn't get out of the chair at the theatre...Descent run time to explain many stories..Stay tuned after the credits for an easter egg!!

One of the worst MCU movies, but entertaining nonetheless. Worth picking up.

This was a good sequel to the first Iron Man movie. Lots of action sequences & a good story line. Sam Rockwells performance was a bit campy for me, but Scarlet Johansson makes up for it. Her performance of Black Widow was great. I enjoy the new comic book movies.

This is not Gone With The Wind, but this is just a a fun, action packed film. It is similar to the first one. It is hard to say which it is better. So base your decision to buy, rent or avoid off how you liked the last one. Just get the popcorn and enjoy.

Excellent movie great FX and edge of your seat plot! All of the actors are fitting of the parts they play especially Robert Downey Jr. who is a mirror image of the comic book version of Tony Stark.

Don't listen to all the negative reviews, this is a very good movie with very good acting and very good special effects. It does not live up to the hype created by the original, which was an A+ superhero movie, but it is a very entertaining and well made movie. Go into it expecting to have fun and be entertained and you will enjoy it too.
