Intense action film
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall, this is another great Marvel movie to add to the collection. I personally go both ways on this film because of a few things. First, I love Iron Man and I think that he is the best superhero out of the entire Avengers. Robert Downey, Jr., does another great job portraying the wonderfully charismatic Tony Stark. However, I wasn't a big fan of some of the various plot elements to this movie. Before purchasing it, I really didn't enjoy it and when I saw it at the midnight premiere, I found myself utterly disappointed. But, I did give it another chance, and while I still feel like this is the worst of the three Iron Man films so far, it did definitely grow on me.

Great movie!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this movie! The Blu-ray looks incredible. I had the first 2 movies, but hadn't bought this one yet. I got it on sale around Christmas which made it even better. I hadn't seen it in a while, so it was like watching it for the first time all over again. I love the human aspect and vulnerability they brought to the Tony Stark character in this movie, as opposed to having an invincible superhero walking around throughout the whole movie. It helps you connect with and feel for the main character. You see him dealing with internal issues as well as the usual external ones. I guess that's what I really like about this movie.

My steelbook collection is complete
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Initially the third Iron Man movie was not one I particularly liked very much. However, I like it now because it shows that even heroes can be traumatized. Also, the Mandarin is hilarious. I waited an extra few months so the steelbook would be restocked so I could have it match my Iron Man and Iron Man 2 steelbooks also purchased at Bestbuy. The item arrived on time, and it played flawlessly. I would recommend this item.

4K WOW!
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am a big fan of all of the Marvel movies, really enjoy these on my 85" Sony!!! I purchased multiple SteelBook movies when they went on sale as I have a phenomenal player that renders these 4K versions superbly! Please note you need to have the proper components to play and view to get the most out of the 4k versions. Additionally, each SteelBook comes with exclusive content that give a bit more insight to the actual movie itself - interesting stuff.

Great edition
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am a collector. I love having each type of platform whether DVD, digital, 3D and blu-ray as I share my movies and take them on trips, friends and family's homes. In preparation of Avengers 2 I purchased Iron Man 3 so a friend and I could Share Avengers 2 after within theories leading up to if. This is a great version of the movie and made for an enjoyable 2 weeks of movie experiences with me and a friend. There are 2 clips during the previews: one halfway through credits and one after they appear to be done at the very end. All of the movies had a secret and then a super secret ending that I missed the first go around.

Better than 2 but not as good as 1
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.God bless Robert Downey Jr. for keeping this franchise going. I bet those fat paychecks dont hurt either. Now I understand why he keeps demanding more money. These films are becoming more and more tedious. Iron Man 3 is a mixed feelings kind of experience. You wanna love it more than you probably should. It cant help but be compared to Jon Favreau's original but every sequel undoubtedly will. And eventually theyll all fall short. One things for sure though: it certainly is better the Iron Man 2. Favreau shoulda quit while he was ahead, I think the 2nd one didnt work at all the way he expected. But this 3rd installment was in the hands of a more than capable director taking over, and even though the writing was a little flimsy and the pace was kinda off, he did a great job with the material he was given to work with. The special effects are amazing and the action is spectacular ...and if I may say so, well prioritized within the story. Unlike part 2's flashy, over-exaggerated action that was just there for the sake of having something happen. This one was more character driven and the action served the story they were trying to tell. The narrative is key and it even hit home on a very personal level with me because of Tony Stark's anxiety issues in the movie. I suffer from severe panic attacks so the subject matter was very relatable to me. But getting back to the film, I thought it was a strong entry in the series and good follow up to The Avengers despite the biggest plot fail ever, if there was a terrorist of that magnitude then why didnt the Avengers assemble again to go put a stop to him?? But I understand these characters all need solo films too so its cool. As for the 3D.... it sucks! Seriously it adds NOTHING to the viewing experience. Its a post conversion...that was their first mistake. And secondly, its a VERY BAD ONE. A lazy effort by the company that did it. Theres zero pop out moments, and very little depth throughout the movie. Im not saying its a completely lost cause (for that, see "I, Robot" or "Predator" 3D... you'll swear you're watching the 2D version when its really the 3D one) but the wow factor is very minimal here so for the price (almost $40) Id recommend just getting the cheaper 2D blu ray. Which brings me to the vital statistics. While the 3D presentation is generally disappointing, I have no complaints about its 2D counterpart. Its crisp and pleasing to the eyes. Finely detailed although the films colors are just a little dull for my taste. But thats on the cinematographer. Its dark at times and just the way its shot isnt very typical of an action film. But make no mistake, the picture is top notch. Obviously the sound is the same on both versions of the film, and in a word ...its amazing! Reference quality here. Wall shaking LFE output for your subwoofer and full use of the surround channels. Dialogue never gets drowned out by music or sound effects either. Everything is well prioritized So the 3-star rating was more for the lack of dimensionality in the 3D version. Everything else is pretty much perfect, but this edition is pricey and not worth the money. JUST GET THE 2D VERSION

Good film
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This movie is easily the weakest of the Iron Man trilogy, yet rewatching it there are still a lot of great performances here. The villain and the ending while also weak points are still not as bad as I remember them. And with that glowing review I still recommend this movie that looks great in Disney 4K (which is upscaled 2K) and it's Dolby Atmos soundtrack. The Movies Anywhere code included lets you watch the film in up to Dolby Vision with the right hardware.

Underrated MCU Movie
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Iron Man 3 is rarely talked about when it comes to the Marvel movies, and that's a shame. Had this movie come out during the boom that occurred during Phase 3 I think it would have done a lot better, because it really is a very entertaining movie. Robert Downey Jr. does a great job showing vulnerability, while also being a complete jerk to a child - who else could get away with that and still be considered a hero? Not everyone will be a fan of Shane Black, but I can say that this movie definitely feels like one of his movies, making it stand out a little more than many others.

Good not great movie
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My review for the blu-ray set itself is very positive. Action scenes via CG of course look and sound great on blu-ray. Lots of disc extras. Price was so-so, had to price match with competitor for reasonable 20 buck cost. Seamless sync via itunes, unlike Dark Knight Rises which was a streaming Ultraviolet digital copy. Review of the movie itself is a good but not great movie. Maybe my expectations were too high. I think RD JR is the quintessential Tony Stark. Hope this is not the last Iron Man movie, not counting Avengers sequels. Spoiler alert - I hate how the Mandarin character, although played very very well by Sir Kingsley, turns out to be nothing like in the Marvel Comics. That's why I knocked a star off an otherwise good but not great movie.

Best Iron Man EVER
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the one liners and the sense of humor this movie has even though its an action movie! When things should seemingly be serious, Robert Downey Jr., pops off something sarcastic and it had me laughing! Great movie! I liked that I could watch it with my husband and our sons and there weren't nude/make-out scenes, despite it being action packed- it was not gory, language wasn't offensive either. We have watched it multiple times!

Continuing the Experience
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This third installment of Iron Man. Robert Downey Jr.'s Iron Man/Tony Stark is amazing to watch over and over. While I like this movie a little less than the first, it is definitely 5 stars! It is super enjoyable but I prefer watching them in the MCU release order along with the other movies and not just by themselves. Love that it has the 4K Blu-ray/Blu-ray and Digital copy along with the SteelBook look.

I love Ironman, because I like Robert Downey , Jr. is a great actor. I like action and good guys. I have seem all three Ironman's movies and both of Captain America movies and also watch Thor, enjoy the plots and actors and this relax and me and when I having a bad week, I enjoy a god movie at home. Sometimes, just TV doesn't do it. Rarely do I go to a theatre, mostly enjoy watching movies at home. I could look at this Ironman again and I will .

Good movie not as good as first one
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The first Iron Man put the character on the cinema map, the second one felt like a little bit of a side step and this one, while better than the second, still didn't recreate the magic from the first one. If you are a die hard comic fan, you will already know they changed the story for this one, instead of a drinking problem he has an anxiety problem? The humor is good and the plot twist is fun, but again just not as good as the first movie. The extras are ok, and to be honest, how many times does anyone actually watch extras? My only complaint is now that Disney owns Marvel it takes forever for the price to drop on their Blu Rays, just like the Disney Animated movies, a little annoying.

Terrific addition to the Marvel Saga
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've heard some people say that they were disappointed by this movie, but I found it entertaining and well made. Guy Pierce made a great villain. Robert Downey continues to fill the role of Tony Stark with new edges and complexities. It is a fine bridge between the first and second Avengers films without being tied so tightly together that you cannot enjoy this film on it's own. Add a great score and a slam bang final act, and you have an absolutely terrific addition to your comic book film library.

||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.the more i watched it the more i liked it! i thought this movie was going to go out with a bang! and i don't mean fun action as it did here! it was good but it couldve been better. i was really hoping for the mandarin to appear, but instead we got a white boy with dragon tattoos that breaths fire thinking he's toothless from how to train your dragon still good movie tho
