As a fan of the novel, I don't think any movie could ever properly tell the story of Stephen King's It. Still, this movie is solid - if you can put the book out of your mind and enjoy the film on its own merits. Looking forward to the sequel.

Not sure why people like this so much. The acting and casting of the kids is good, but the story is monotonous, and there is hardly any depth to it. Again and again we see the same scenes with Pennywise transforming into all sorts of different "scary" creatures, scaring the kids, but then they're not too scared as to not seek out Pennywise to try and fight him. And then it's like, he feeds off your fear, so if you don't fear him you can defeat him. But the kids never seemed to fear him in the first place. So whatever. The best scenes are when the kids are just hanging out, riding around town. The first time we meet Pennywise is also a good scene. Every kid has a super depressing home life, including one where incest is taking place, and all seem to be from single parent families for some reason. Maybe the point is supposed to be that their home lives are scarier than this dang clown. We end the movie with a forced set up for the sequel that will apparently be about the kids as adults, since this film doesn't alternate between the stories the way the novel does.

The video quality is great on this. I just did not enjoy the movie. It is not terrible, just not for me. Love the Pennywise concept in this movie though.

It was just an ok movie to me. I wanted part one to be similar to the book with the adults and kids story at one time. Pennywise also did that stupid shaky movement that all horror monsters do.

Was expecting more for a horror movie but a cute movie anyway personally I should of waited for HBO to air it at no charge. Would be nice to have acby back service thru Best Buy

The movie itself was similar to the original. Scarier than the original but still not as scary as I had anticipated with all of the hype surrounding it.

Was a good remake still like the O.G. the best not shure if this movie was worth paying the extra for the 4k tho it does have dolby atmos sound

Stupid storyline not even entertaining don’t waste your money on it or time not even worth watching if it comes out on tv

For a horror movie, this one barely touches the surface to be considered “scary”. The story definitely does deliver however.

Not a bad movie however, I still favor the original. Pennywise in this movie is scarier due to advances in make-up and cgi.

Although this is actually a 2k DI the HDR made it worth it for the sale price of $19.99. I wouldn’t pay more than that

It's not scary at all. Well a little scary but not really. If anything it's suspenseful and actually kinda funny.

Fan of the original, and it was much creepier than this remake. Not very horror like, but decent try.

The first one is better. Something said about less is more with that one.

Expected so much more out of this movie. Felt like I was watching a scarier goo is movie.

Classic Stephen King done well. Not all his books have translated well to movie screens.

No one beats Tim Curry, that being said overall this was a modern version of a great movie.
