I expected IT to be more scary, I love horror. The whole idea of it gets me excited on levels completely unique to everything else, don't get me wrong this is a great movie. Effects are boosted to the 21st century and IT actually has scenes that will make people jump. But I have been a book-fan to Steven King like forever, and it is definitely possible to get a scary SK movie because it's happened before like in Shining and Pet Cemetery. But this lacked that emotional and long-term scar that truely terrorises my mind for the next week. I have to say I am impressed with how it came out, with the 1400 paged complicated piece of writing they were left with and a disappointing 1990 version my hopes weren't that high. But long complicated (half) story short, they got the easy part down. When I see IT chapter 2 then I'm in for a ride, complications and confusion come like a tidal wave with the ritual of chüd, power transferals and telepathy battles I cannot wait to see how they tackle the next half of IT. Overall complete nail of IT chapter 1, I just wish it was more scarier.

We like watching scary movies at home on Friday nights when we don’t want to go out and spend, so this one was a good catch.

Another remake of a classic, and what a good remake. If you have not seen this movie yet you should. I cannot wait until part II.

While no one can replace tim curry, bill did an excellent job portraying pennywise. Great horror flick with great scares

Excellent picture quality for this classic movie, 4K is stunning and at this price it was awesome. Highly recommended.

Movie is very good and very well done. A lot of the scary scenes were well done and really play with your head. Would watch again.

Since we are in the era of straight up recreations instead of just stealing ideas, this was bound to be made. No where near as good as the original and I believe it was taken a bit too far with so "jokes".

The movie is scary, thoughtful and maddening. Adults are clueless. Kids save the day. Not too far from truth. Enjoyed it!

This remake won’t match the original but it did do justice to penny wise character showing his demonic and crazy ways!!!

There is a lot of material in the novel that is difficult to translate to the screen, but the filmmakers did a good job with what they were going for. Very creepy, well cast, and interestingly developed.

It’s fun and scary at the same time. Didn’t know what to expect but it was actually a really good movie with a good story.

This movie was much scarier than the previous TV version. So, if you like to be scared, then this movie should do the trick.

This new version of Stephen King's "It" is a fun movie. The performances are well done and it gives some good jump scares. It could benefit from a little more subtlety but overall I had a good time with this film.

This is much better than the 1990 movie. Improved effects, acting, and Pennywise is expertly played by Bill Skarsgard.
