Much better than the original which I did not like.

The 4K print is excellent. The movie is great too.

This film is just so well made. It keeps you hooked every second. This film simply put is a masterpiece. I love the way the story flows. I am a big fan of the original film, but they really improved on this one. The design of Pennywise was amazing. The costume designers and make-up artists outdid themselves here. If you are thinking twice about getting this film or even watching it. I have to tell you, watch it! It'll be worth it.

This was a must buy if you are a Stephen King fan! Especially a fan of (the Straight to Video) IT from 1990 with Tim Curry as the first Actor to portray the horror classic character Pennywise. This new remake has a more in depth background story on each of the characters from "The Losers Club" but in the 80's time period. And Bill Skarsgard impression of Pennywise brings chills and terrors. Overall performance was great! I would relate it to Stranger Things and Super 8, with a splash of horror!

I read the book when it was first published many years ago, so my memory may be a bit rusty, but this version seems to be closer to the first half of King's horrific story than the TV movie. I hope the movie of the second half will be released sooner than later because the story is incomplete as depicted here. That said; I was very impressed with everybody and everything else involved with it! THE BLU-RAY DOES NOT DISAPPOINT in any way and I consider it to be of demo / reference quality.

I liked this one. I haven't read the book, but I have seen the made-for-TV "IT" with Tim Curry, and I think this version does it justice. While Tim Curry did a better job of being a more subtly disturbing demonic clown, the guy here does decent job. The most important thing you need to know is, by the time the credits roll, it's only half the story....leaving things wide-open for a sequel. But you know what, that's ok. Cutting it into two pieces will allow them to find quality actors to play the grown-up versions of the kids once they return to fight "IT" again. We shall see.

Really enjoyed this movie. I loved how the town and the people in it are often just as dangerous as the monster. Even when the characters manage to dodge Pennywise, there are still other threats waiting for them (abuse, racism, bullies, apathy, anxiety, etc.). It makes the whole movie engaging and tense. Some scenes use CGI and it can be a little distracting, but the kid actors are great together and Bill Skarsgard is incredible.

I thought the film was good, but nothing special. The dialogue was at times funny, but the acting was sometimes suspect, although quite good for early teenagers. The picture quality is great, especially in ITs scenes. Audio is suffice

I'm a big Stephen King fan so I usually will buy his movies (in blu-ray) when they become available. I read his book some time ago, but somehow when this movie came out, it slipped right by me. Best Buy was offering a deal back in November, so I made several blu-ray purchases, including this one. Not everybody likes King's movies, but this is my review, not theirs. I have since bought It Chapter 2 as well.

I saw this in the theaters, and it made all the sightings of creepy clowns that much scarier! This remake is brilliantly done, and is scarier than the Original made for TV movie, so much scarier that they had to give it an R rating. It keeps true to the original story with a surprise at the end, they had to split into 2 chapters like the tv version to tell the whole story. I'm glad they didn't try to squeeze it all into 2 hours, Stephen King would be proud

IT was a wonderful surprise when it came out in September 2017. Stephen King adaptations had fallen out of favor and this one had already been done as a fairly successful TV movie in 1990. It's amazing what a talented director, a wonderful cast and, most importantly, an R rating can do! I'm ready for the sequel in September 2019. Picture and sound on the 4K disc are phenomenal. My advice: get this while on sale as part of the 3 for $50 deal. Can't beat the price.

Wow! This movie is awesome! So much hype around this movie and for good reason. One of Stephen King's best novels has been given the big screen treatment with amazing results! From the young actors who portrayed the losers club to Bill Skarsgard's perfect representation of Pennywise the Dancing Clown. There were some obvious missteps when translating from the source material to a movie, but the overall feel and visually stunning effects make up for that.

Modern horror films can be pretty hit or miss these days. IT is an example of a modern horror film that is done right. Not only does it work well in the genre, but it is also a well-made film. If you don't like clowns or the horror genre, then you will not enjoy this. If you are a fan of the genre or you like to watch well directed, shot, and written films then this is a good one to pick up. This is pretty much a modern horror classic.

I have to say this is one of the few remakes I actually enjoyed! The original was interesting, cheesy, and honestly more comical rather than scary. What I loved about this remake was the fact that it was more intense, less comical, and more disturbing. This film focuses more on the kids rather than jumping back and forth in the timelines as the original does. A surprisingly decent horror film.

I thought the kids were much better in this version, but I liked Tim Curry's pennywise better. A much different feel with the childhood point-of-view instead of the adult point-of-view with flashbacks as Stephen King wrote it and the made for TV version interpreted it. It's basically just the first half, so I hope when they make the concluding sequel, they come up with a better ending than the lame spider in the TV version.

I'm not particularly scared of clowns but I do enjoy a decent monster/horror movie occasionally and this one delivered. The pacing is fantastic and the child actors do a wonderful job, which is required for this movie to succeed with how it is written completely through the view of children. I haven't watched the sequel yet but I hope it lives up to this one.

wasn't sure if this would be beat for beat like the original but glad it wasn't. not too big on horror movies since it seems like they got lazy the last 15 years. every now and then you'll get a good one, this is one of them. the wide color gamut and hdr, wow, colors pop! glad i watched it. thought it be like the original and flash forward but since it didn't, i didn't mind seeing the movie with just the kids. they have chemistry! felt like stranger things(even though i haven't seen it yet...its on my back log).

It is Stephen King’s most famous novel. The adapted movie from the 90s was fine, but not amazing. They finally remade a movie and it was even better than the original. The casting was great and they did well with the storyline. The movie adds comedy and drama into its storytelling rather than being like a modern day horror movie with just jump scares. If you’re not a fan of horror, you still might like this. I thought it was a great movie.

My favorite book from Stephen King was finally given the adaptation it deserves. What makes this film so unique compared to other King adaptations is that Andy Muschietti crafts these characters and develops them over the course of the film. You truly care about and relate to them. Bill Skarsgård's performance is phenomenal and the child actors they cast are amazing. Cannot wait for Part II! The 4K presentation is stunning as well.
