The movie is popular; with good reason. But the blu-ray packaging is so-so. All of the It: Chapter 1 blu-rays on the shelf had wrinkles in the plastic so it's not optimal for collectors. The manufacturer may not be keeping quality in mind at this point. Also, the "IT" wording on the binder is tiny. For those enjoying looking at the binder on your shelf; opt for a steelbook or slipcover if offered. The black background coloring tends to look on the lighter, too, making the "IT" wording difficult to see lined up next to your other titles.

Bill Skarsgard's performance is just one of those once in decade performances that gets people talking. His Pennywise is terrifying and quite hilarious but most importantly unsettling. The child actors all did amazingly well although two of them didn't get enough screen time. The movie is like if The Goonies fell asleep in the world of A Nightmare on Elm Street. Happy that horror is making a come back.

In recent years my confidence and enjoyment in horror movies have been a huge disappointment and I expect next level sharknado quality out of modern horror movies but from a lot of strong recommendations from my friends and family, I gave this movie a view and wow I was genuinely surprised and entertained by a remake and no one can really say that now a days. Give this movie a try and you will love it

I usually don't like scary movies, but this one is exceptionally good! The cast of kids are perfect and they did a good job with Pennywise. The picture quality is perfect and the audio sounds good as well. While it doesn't have too many extras, I found them quite insightful. They were a nice glimpse into filming and they tell you a little bit about every character. Can't wait for chapter 2!

This is a great movie for Spooky Season! At first, I was hesitant to watch this because I hate clowns, but Pennywise isn't an ordinary clown but much more of a monster, so it didn't really bother me. If you want to be extra spooked, opt for the 4k title so you have access to Dolby Vision and Atmos. You will not be disappointed.

Great movie. The 4K is amazing. The only issue I had was that I didn't realize that the special features were not on the 4k disk, only on the Blueray one (that comes with it). No where does it say to switch to the blue ray disk to watch them so I was pretty confused as to why the special features seemed not to exist on my copy of the movie. They should have put that informatiuon somewhere obvious.

I was officially terrified of Tim Curry after the first IT movie came out. I definitely wanted to see how they did this. I saw this movie twice in theaters so I had to own it. This DVD set is worth it just for the special feature on Bill skarsgard as pennywise. I admit I was worried about the selection of him as pennywise but he was excellent. Though he didn't scare me as bad as Tim Curry.

I never use to watch scary movies because I was a chicken. I don't know what changed in me after a while but I started to enjoy them. This movie though, the opening scene with Pennywise GAVE ME CHILLS! Besides that the rest of the movie is your typical jump out horror stuff. Movie has a Stranger Things vibe because it surrounds kids which is cool. I highly recommend watching this movie.

loved the original a d this doesnt let you down my gf has a clown phobia so I tied her to a chair glued her eyelids open and made her watch in horror!!! just kidding ..great flick!!

As a fan of real horror, modern horror films have been very disappointing for the last 15 years or so, with the exception of a few. This remake was by far the best horror film of the last 15 years. Truly terrifying without relying on jump scares and music and Skarsgard puts Curry's performance to shame (and I am a fan of the original as well). I love this movie.

It has long been a favorite book of mine by Stephen King. The oringial mini-series wasn’t bad but it wasn’t the greatest adaptation of this novel. I wasn’t sure anyone could top Tim Curry but Bill Skarsgard is haunting as Pennywise. He made him his own. The child actors were awesome! They acted fear and their friendship very well. If you love horror, this is for you.

I've never seen the original IT miniseries and have never read the Stephen King book. Based only on seeing this film I absolutely loved it. The acting from the kids was just great. Good humor throughout, but very creepy with Pennywise and scary at times. Saw it in the theatre and just had to buy immediately when it was released on home video. Looking forward to the sequel.

I've never read the novel so I don't know how faithful it is. But I LOVE this movie, I found that it works on almost every level. One of the highlights for me are the actors. All of them were fantastic and really got their characters down. I could go on and on but there are much better reviewers that have reviewed this film. I say it's worth your time and money to buy.

If you enjoyed the original "made for tv mini series", you will enjoy the dedicated effort into reviving and adapting this into a movie, complete with an R rating to ensure you get just enough edgy gore to make this an outstanding remake. If you never watched the original, watch this first. Great nostalgic feel, if you are a fan of Stranger Things, this is right up your alley.

What a great, creepy movie! Everyone is s ared of clowns, right? You will be after this. Not quite on par with the book but holds true to it just the same. Skarsgard is the real star of this movie and worth the price of admission. Bluray looks and sound really good. A few extras but nothing crazy.

I never saw the original "It" movie, however, I did watch this version when it released in theaters and definitely enjoyed it. I normally don't get scared easily, however, there were a few moments in the movie where I did get startled a bit. The picture and audio quality is great on 4K so I would highly recommend this version if you have capable equipment.

This is a must own for all movie fans. Looks great in 4K! Streaming 4K can be an issue because of the bandwidth required. Not only is this a great film with has a good amount of extras. I am getting hooked on collecting these Steelbooks. Part of me knows this is just a way for them to get people to still collect physical media, but it looks great so I don't mind.

if you like the book and/or are a fan of the 90's mini-series you're in for a great movie. no obscene amounts of gore, lots of jumps that still scare me after the fourth time viewing. the coming of age story is well done in a very Stranger Things feel. liberties taken with the book but not detrimental to the story and very well done. Can't wait for part 2.

I always loved the original IT as a child. Pretty scary for little kids but my 6 year old son who is not afraid of anything watched it with no problem. My 8 year old son is afraid of his own shadow so he didn't want to watch it. Lol Looking forward to chapter 2! Amazing on my Sony 55" 4k. Make sure you have a good sound bar or set up too. Highly recommend it!

This movie has a fair share of spooky moments. Definitely scarier if you have a phobia of clowns. Movie plot and acting are great. You can't go wrong with a Stephen King story if the film is done right. This film my friends, was done superbly. There's even a part two in the making. My recommendation is to watch this video with the lights out.
