Great movie but why no blu-ray with this wonderful steelbook? The non-steelbook version has the blu-ray included...c'mon Best Buy...you can DO BETTER than that...

This was great remake of the original. Fearfully fascinating and adequately creepy.

I was lucky to have seen this film 4 times in theaters and can say with satisfaction that it was easily one of the best in recent years. Great adaptation and I’m happy there’s a steel book set!

IT isn’t your typical horror movie since it doesn’t rely solely on jump scares. It really is a coming of age story with a ton of 80’s references. Stephen King’s IT is worth having IT in your collection.

The movie itself is great. One of the best horror movies/coming of age movies in at least the last few years. If you're looking for more about the movie, there are plenty of good reviews on it. The 4K disc is of great quality. The picture is very sharp, with inky blacks and deep colors. HDR is used very well here. The soundtrack is so powerful and bass is very deep. You will not be disappointed if you own a sound system. Mine doesn't do Atmos but the DTS-HD soundtrack is incredible. The only slight complaint is that dialogue was a little overpowered by the other speakers, but that's certainly not worth taking off a star. Highly recommended!

I watched this more then 2 times in the theater, though the old one was good I couldn’t help but adore this version completely. It’s a must watch and I will definitely be owning a copy or two.The actors were great and it definitely gave you the chills and a couple frights. Can’t wait to own it.

This film tells the same basic story King told in his novel (and the 1990 television adaptation), but makes a lot of changes. Gone is the timeline structure, which takes place in the present, with long flashbacks into the past. Instead, this is set entirely in the past, in 1988, four years later than the present day setting of the original novel. The later setting doesn't significantly detract; in fact, it's probably more relevant to most viewers, as they are more likely to have grown up in or near that time period than the late 1950s setting of the original novel. The straight-line structure eliminates some of the fun and power King had as he masterfully revealed things in the present, giving it a greater significance and meaning when we encounter it in the past, but is still serviceable in telling the tale. Where the filmmakers made their biggest mistake is to focus on classic horror film elements instead of the character-driven narrative King gave us. Far too little time is spent developing the characters and their relationships, and far too much screen time is focused on the teens (usually alone) in a dark and scary place, where scary music and the usual shrieking and screeching noises we associate with horror films. Ample time is given to their visions, with lepers, monsters, and human bodies brutalized in all sorts of ways, yet we get little sense of their regular lives; the way things were before all of this began. Fortunately, the children are well-cast, embodying the essence of their characters so well, we get a sense of them even without a lot of on-screen development. The same cannot be said of the adults, who are caricatures of King's original creations, more suited to a Wayans brothers' spoof of this film. Beverly's father is especially bad, lacking the subtlety such a character would need to be able to get away with the things he does. The one exception is Bill Skarsgard, son of Stellan (Good Will Hunting, MCU) as Pennywise the Dancing Clown. He creates both a suitably frightening demonic clown, yet also believable that children would trust him. While he spends much of the movie in CG-manipulated monstrous forms, he makes the most of the few times he is given to just act. The things this film gets right shows the potential it had. They basically took King's tale and turns it into a genre monster movie. By those standards, it is better than such films usually are, and with $700 million in the bank, might be what modern moviegoers want. Still, one can't help but lament the loss of the film this could have been. They could have given us this generation's The Exorcist, but instead gave us another Friday the 13th.

This 4k steelbook is missing the blu ray which has all the special features such as behind the scenes. If you don't care then get it. If you are a person who want the complete set then get the regular 4K version. The movie is 4.5 stars.

I am not a fan of horror movies due to most are dump, or just full of gore and no scare, WOW, what a movie. Such a wonderful story, well set up and YES it has a scare (a few). I rarely write a review but this movie is a must buy for any collector or buy just to watch, no disappointment, REALLY.

Great remake of the original & a great cast & direction & screenplay except for one thing & that's why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5, the cursing & 4 letter words of the kids. I did not read the book which may have contained this language but found it unnecessary for the film. I'm no prude but the language did detract from this otherwise great film.

I always enjoyed the previous version of the film, but this one is a great improvement. The cast is great and really leads to an exciting movie that has laughs, scares, and enough to keep you interested until the end.

Great adaptation of the book. Much better than the original miniseries. I also bought it for my step-dad and he really liked it as well.

I first saw this movie in theatres and I absolutely loved it! I like how they have 2 parts to the movie. The steel book and the fact that’s it’s 4k really adds to it. I am 100% satisfied with this purchase!

I liked this one. i liked the 1990 one better. I don't want too give anything away but i loved the Gremlins and Beetlejuice in the kids room. It was updated with modern day special effects. there was good scares too.

This was a entertaining movie. My personal opinion i believe is better than the original. Maybe due to the effects.

I bought the SteelBook edition of this movie. This is very misleading as it does NOT come with the digital version as it shows. Will be returning this as that is part of the reason I bought it.

Great movie. Didn't ruin it. Grew up on a the originals and great to see em come back

saw the original move and thought the new one was great. Loved the run in's with Pennywise.
