For A Nation Of Millions

Don't believe the hype, but believe me, this album is a classic. Also Prophets Of Rage (Chuck D's supergroup) is named after a song on here.

When Rap was Real

Try this unrelenting album of early, non-radio friendly rap laced with references to the Nation of Islam. A good place to go after absorbing James Brown, Parliament, Eric B. and Rakim, the Beastie Boys, and Spike Lee movies.
