I was able to find a display port cable that had better specs, for a lower price somewhere else. I did test both (DP Cables) to find that this (DP) from best buy. Did not match-up with the price value as advertised.

Posted .The JDC43 supports DisplayPort 1.4, but your device or monitor may only support DisplayPort 1.2 or lower.
If you're using an older GPU or monitor, the cable's full potential won't be utilized, and it might even cause instability.

Posted .Was there any power fluctuation when this happened? Sometimes, a power surge can affect connected devices. If the monitor's power source and computer were on different power circuits, ground loops or voltage inconsistencies could also contribute to failure. If the monitor had a weakened or faulty DisplayPort input, connecting a new high-bandwidth 8K cable could have stressed the port, especially if the monitor was not designed to handle certain power draws.
