The first one that broke was admittedly my fault, I was moving my monitors around on their new mounted bases for the first time & there was a little too much pressure on the port. Still, that thing ripped so fast I couldn't believe how little pressure it took. The second one just stopped working after about 6 months. Definitely no reason for that. I was super careful not to put any pressure on that cable, given how the first one had given up so quick, and after about 6 months my computer stopped being able to detect the monitor one day all of a sudden. I thought for sure it couldn't be the cable - this is a top of the line cable, right?? - so I tried literally everything else including a system restore before I tried replacing the cable and the janky old replacement cable did the trick. Do not buy these.
