Eco-friendly port expander

I purchased this in December of 2025, it is now April of 2026 and it already doesn’t work. I restarted my computer at the end of the day yesterday and when I arrived today, all tools that I had plugged in to the ports aren’t working. I tried them all, to which they all aren’t working.

Broken plug in my hp laptop

USB Type C wire

After conducting research the only way an external CD drive will work is it has to be a plug in, i.e. no wire extension.

It is not recommend to connect external CD drives to the Eco-Friendly USB-C to Type-C & Type-A Gen2 4 Port Hub. Some external CD drive manufacturers recommend to connect their product directly into the computer.
