Customers are saying
Customers enjoy the ScreenCast 4K Wireless Display Adapter for its ease of use, overall performance, and simple setup. However, some customers have experienced connectivity issues, compatibility problems with certain apps, lag, and occasional signal drops. While the resolution and HDMI connectivity are appreciated, the audio quality may be compressed due to bandwidth limitations. Overall, the device offers excellent screen mirroring capabilities, but users should be aware of potential connectivity and performance drawbacks.

Screen mirror/casting, android
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far i like the device. Easy hookup, easy screen mirroring, i am able to cast prime movies from my phone to my somewhat smart tv. Dont even waste your money on the cheap chinese casting devices, nothing but headaches.

Did not work
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I could not get device on my WiFi network, all attempts to setup wireless via https://192.168.203.1 failed on 4 different devices (phone, 2 laptops, desktop) My ISP router is set to a high security profile but other devices such as Chromecast & Fire Stick don’t have any problems connecting and I’m not willing to lower router security settings if that’s the cause. Another issue is the USB receiver is pretty wide, so could not connect it to main Samsung TV due to tight configuration of HDMI ports.

Posted .There are different options you could try with your devices. Go to your device's wireless Internet settings and search for the ScreenCast's SSID. Connect to the ScreenCast's SSID and input the PW number shown below the SSID on the home screen. Open your web browser and go to http://192.168.203.1 to enter the admin gateway. Choose 'Wireless Internet' and select your wireless network and input the password. The admin gateway will disconnect when the ScreenCast is connected to your network.
To mirror your device: Android - Drag down the quick settings menu and find the scrren mirror function, then select the ScreenCast's device name.
IOS - Swipe to open the Control Center and start "Screen Mirroring" by selecting the ScreenCast's device name.
MacOS - Start "Airplay" from the menu bar by selecting the ScreenCast's device menu.
Windows - Press & hold the Windows key +P, then select "Connect to a wireless display" and select the ScreenCast's device name.

Great little wireless streaming adapter
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The j5create ScreenCast 4K works shockingly well. I honestly wasn't sure what to expect from it, since most of my experience with Miracast has been what's been built into TVs, and those experiences haven't been great. But the ScreenCast has been really quite good. Once setup, PC's have no issues finding the ScreenCast and mirroring to it. Latency is typically good, but I've run into a coupe of glitches here and there, but nothing major. The ScreenCast also supports Apple's AirPlay, and while it also works quite well, it isn't as convenient as what an Apple TV can provide. The biggest stumbling block is that with an Apple TV, if setup properly, any Apple device in range can stream to it without having to be on the same WiFi network. With the ScreenCast, an Apple device must either be on the same WiFi network as the ScreenCast, or connected directly to the ScreenCast's WiFi network in order to stream to it (PC's can stream to it without having to be on the same WiFi network). This isn't a deal breaker by any means, and for the vast majority of people it probably doesn't matter, but just something to be aware of. Finally, it also supports Google Cast, and it works just as well as any other Google Cast device - which is to say not great. Casting a browser tab or a Youtube video works just fine, but mirroring the entire screen of a computer is not great. It's good in a pinch, if the computer you're using doesn't support Miracast or AirPlay, but otherwise it's not even worth turning that capability on (and it's telling, that out of the box, Google Cast isn't even enabled).

Simple casting - NOT compatible with Meta Quest 3
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This appears to be a simple and straight forward screen casting solution and supports several formats. But it does not work with Meta Quest 3 casting, despite allegedly supporting chromecast. It does support screen mirroring from iOS devices, with some drop off in quality due to compression.

Direct to TV without Wi-Fi,from phone
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wanted to cast my phone direct to TV without an internet subscription. I would rank the experience about 80% successful. Some of the TV/ Movie apps have glitches and bugs, I'm sure my new phone does too. I would say this unit is well worth the money.

Works but just barely
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Attempted to use it to stream videos from mu pc, however it doesnt transfer sound which i wasnt expecting from HDMI using an arc port. It looks choppy, better than my native streaming for my tv (older model so thats expected) but still fairly ... meh? I dont think its worth the 80 dollars. I think id have preferred an Video over IP solution but for 80 bucks i was atleast expecting a smoother steam

OK if you don't mind random disconnects
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall this does what you want - casts your pc or mobile device to a monitor or TV wirelessly. Getting it set up to do so is straightforward, but ensuring it stays connected has been an exercise in futility. I use it for my work, extending the screen of my laptop to my (brand new) monitor. I can't be any closer to the device, as everything is on the same desk, and yet periodically throughout the day it will suddenly lose the connection. When it does I get a green screen, where I then have to unplug the device, plug it back in, and reconnect. If you don't mind periodic frustrations like that, then this is right up your alley, but for $80 I was expecting better.

Works fine but only 4K@30
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is working fine with screen mirroring both Windows and Mac laptops but the maximum resolution is only 4K@30 which is listed nowhere in the specs. We are using it at 1080@60 instead so its not laggy.

Works just like described!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Following the instructions, setup was as easy as it should be. Tried casting from Samsung, iPhone, iPad, windows & macOS. It worked perfectly fine. However without internet connection, I can't seem to get the Google pixel to cast. Still 5*

Works, but with significant signal delay
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Does what it's supposed to, but with a significant signal delay (which was not indicated on the box). I'd thought that by having a device with a dedicated receiver, this would minimize the delay between my laptop and the TV, but there's a delay of around two seconds even though I'm within 5-10ft of the receiver. I wanted to use this with video calls so that I could display them on the big screen, but the delay makes that use impossible. Otherwise it works as intended. But the delay makes it not worth the money tbh.

-1 star for occasional unstable connection
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I watch a lot of videos on my phone and this was a quick and easy way to watch them on my tv in bed or when my phone is charging. Every once in a while the video will get real laggy and itll say connection unstable. You just have to disconnect and reconnect.
