It worked... sorta!

very good with some caveats

If jarred, it can disconnect very easily, and if you don't notice, everything will ber running on battery until you fix it by replugging.

Knocked 1 star off because memory cards don't "click" in. They just kinda sit in it, so you aren't sure it's in until it pops up on computer screen.

It is a solid piece of equipment and is not flimsy. You just need to make sure it is for the specific MacBook that you have because it can't be reasonably be used with other computers. So if the MacBook that you buy it for ever ceases to be usable then unless you replace it with a new one that this product can fit on then this device won't be worth much to you. Personally I think it should be a little less expensive but Bestbuy's pricing is as competitive as anyone for the price of this product.
