This was the perfect dock. It also has a port to charge your MacBook on it. Haven’t had the chance to test the Ethernet since my home mostly uses WiFi throughout the house.

I would most definitely recommend it to anyone with the new Mac as it is all of the adapters in one. The great feature of this is that if you constantly keep it in your laptop you won't be using up the ports on your actual laptop therefore it is easily replaceable once they get used up.

This hub getting heat

I change the hub for other with cable, more friendly and more faster to put in and out.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this with the "incase" blah blah hard shell case and the unit worked fine until I put the case on. just that millimeter of extra space wouldn't allow it to connect. it works fine without a case so 2 stars. $100 multipart hub or protected laptop..tough choice but I returned this item.

Posted .Properly getting the JCD382 to work as intended can be concerning due to the full, snug insertion required and unfortunately a cover on the Mac could impede this. We do have other adapters available that connect via a cable and will allow you to keep the cover on such as the JCD383, JCD384.
