Posted .Properly connecting the JCD382 can be tricky, we understand and apologize. The mini dock requires a full insert to the side of the Mac, once the blue LED light turns on, it is ready for use. If needed, technical assistance can be obtained with support information on the casing and an agent will be happy to lend a helping hand.

DEAD ON ARRIVAL

I'd give it 0 stars if that were an available option. I tried plugging it in firmly where it was flush with the side of the laptop and it failed on both I had available. This gets an F.

USB type C ports have so much functionality. Not only can they pass data, but they can also transmit a video signal and even charge your laptop.
