Too finicky a connection to be used
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Not sure if I got a defective model or if it's just designed poorly, but I thought it looked great, sitting in one side of my MacBook Pro and offering up a series of different ports. I'm new to these Thunderbolt ports but it felt like this adapter wouldn't sit properly in them. I had to push a lot harder than I thought I should and any slight movement would loosen the connection. This made transferring files from my external hard drive or syncing my phone almost impossible. I ended up buying a different adapter that plugged in via cable that hasn't given me any trouble. Plus a few new cables made connecting my hard drive and iPhone directly possible, no adapter needed...

Don’t buy it

It felt too tight then it didn’t work...I took it back it also seems like a bad design because it’s hooked into both ports if too much pressure gets applied into it as 1 solid peice it seems like it could damage the ports and no one wants to repair their Mac!!! I went with a device the plugs into 1 usb-c port via a cable that will run several different devices including a monitor and as card readers

If you have a case on your laptop, it will not fit. If you have anything plugged into it and move the laptop, it will be recognized as being improperly ejected from the laptop.
