I called customer support as instructed on the box. The agent said it's only meant for thumb drives and UBS keyboards; it doesn't have power to support anything bigger. I suggested that that info should be on the packaging. The agent was extremely snippy and said the fine print says they can change the usability at any time. No more j5create purchases for me with agents that are angry that we call for support after spending a lot of time trying to make it work.

too expensive for the quality

Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Aluminum looks good but has plastic borders, the HDMI port stoped working after a few months, the sd card reader sometimes works, the usb c connectors are flimsy as well so be careful with them, I would recommend buying one from amazon for a lot cheaper

The mini dock is a PnP model and if there is a cover on the Mac, it may not connect properly resulting in a non functional dock. But even without the case, it constantly ejects devices that you put in the USB, even if you don't move the laptop. Definitely not worth it for the price tag.

Posted .Great for getting the job done and easy to use due to it's PnP nature; the JCD382 makes a great choice for Mac users. In regards to the experience you had; it sounds like the mini dock may have been worn out at the USB-C connections and thus may sound like an exchange would be required.
