Would not recommend this product at all! Had to send back to manufacturer because Best Buys doesn't guarantee their products. A 15 day return policy is a a red flag that they don't care that they sell bad products, and don't really care to keep you as a customer. Returning faulty products should not be the obligation of the customer if they are shopping at your store. It only shows you the internal workings of Best Buys is incompetent that they cannot negotiate deals with their manufacturers, or demand quality from their manufacturers. I am still surprised this company is still in business.

Not good

I thought the issues were temporary but they are not. My laptop power cord does not charge when it is plugged in to this adapter; also when the HDMI cable to a second monitor is plugged in to it, it works only part of the time. I would NOT recommend this item.

Doesn’t charge my iPad pro

Doesn't work if you use a case on your MacBook.

I was so excited when I found this product and had hoped this will be a solution to all my docking problems. But I am so disappointed. This does not work if you have a case on your MacBook. To use this I need to remove my case from MacBook. My MacBook case is one of the thinnest sleeve. I compared the length of the usb plug on this docking with other hubs I have and then length is a thread smaller, may be that is the reason. I will say this was a good designed product on paper but it did not work its purpose of being a docking station on the go if you have a protective case on the MacBook. I will be returning the item back to the store.

Sorry to hear that the JCD387 did not meet your needs for your MacBook. A case will prevent the USB plugs from seating fully into the ports on your computer. We have some options that have traditional USB-C plugs that may work better with a case. Some options that you may consider:

Posted .The JCD387 is a Plug n Play device, no driver is needed. If you are trying to display dual monitors (not including your computer) unfortunately, that is the hardware limitation on MacBook's with M1. Kindly j5.
SD Card Reader Corruption

After photography fieldwork, I went to upload my photos onto my MacBook, and the SD card was corrupted. After formatting my SD card and trying again, the SD card was corrupted again. I went and purchased the Apple SD card adapter and formatted the same SD card once again, and now I’m having no issues. Just spend the money to purchase the adapter meant for the MacBook.

Posted .Defender, In the case where the JCD389 does not output video via the HDMI port or the modular, there is some troubleshooting that may resolve the problem. If you have a protective cover on your Mac, we strongly recommend removing it as it may impede a proper connection and thus result in a non-functional adapter. In order to narrow down the root of the issue, we advise contacting the support team and an agent will gladly assist.
