This mini docking station is designed to be plug and play with a MacBook Pro. One common issue that comes up is that the dock is not seated firmly into the USB ports on the computer. Only lasted for two months.

I purchased jcd381 doc only to find that it doesn’t recognize my external monitors. I found out that I had to download a driver which I did but still didn’t work. I issued a support ticket but still waiting for them to respond.

Posted .The JCD387 is a Plug n Play device, there are no drivers available. Please uninstall the driver that you have downloaded. The connection isn't tight and I'm going to have to toss it out and buy something that really works. I see now where other users have complained about this, and the reply that I see from j5create is that "it shouldn't work this way - sorry." That doesn't help me with my problem. I will make it a point to never buy this brand.

DOES NOT WORK WITH MACBOOK PRO M1

I needed multiple screens so that I could work and multi task. This is not compatible with newer MacBook Pro's with M1. It is only compatible with MacBook Pro's and MacBook Air with intel.

Posted .The JCD387 is a PnP device. An M1 chip will only be able to output an additional display. That is due to the limitation of the M1 hardware.
