    I originally purchased this item to use my VGA monitor with my new CPU. However I had to return this item as it was not the right choice for my usage. You have to install software that you can't see when monitor is connected at initial set up. Only good if you already have one monitor and want an additional one

    A quick solution is always a good reason to go to Best Buy. You get at least a good price if not better than mail order, but you can use the product immediately and return it immediately if it does not work. I've been using this product reliably for a very long time now and very happy!

    Adapter works great with Ipod Touch and older Bose Speaker model and older Sony Sound System. Highly recommended due to minimal expense compared to buying new compatible speakers and sound systems.

    With lap top computers becoming thinner and lighter, they often no longer have the ports that the older models did. My new Lenovo did not have a VGA port, so this was an essential purchase for me. I hooked it up to a projector at a Beatles convention and it worked perfectly. Problem solved.

    I tested this on windows xp 32 bit, windows 7 64 bit and MacBook Pro 64 bit quad core processor. It works fine on all of them. It is easy to install and support two monitor and one laptop
