Use it for portable Usb 3.0 hard drives and as a phone charger, though more than one component plugged in can reduce the power output with even the brick plugged in. Its a Hub, the quality is real good, Could use a longer cord than whats provided though.

I wanted something to add more USB ports to my xbox one, I have: 2 external hard drives, 2 guitar hero sensors for the wireless guitars, and turtlebeach 800x elite. Everything works perfectly and a perfect addition to my console. A must have!

This 4-port USB 3.0 hub is a life-saver, especially since computers seem to have less and less ports available nowadays. A slick, easy to use solution to that problem without losing any of the quick speed inherent in USB 3.0.

I really have solve the problem of switching from wireless mouse to memory stick to charging my phone. The 4 port usb absolutly solved this issue. it works great, helps to manage mulitple needs when using the laptop. must have!!

The hub is really fast and compatible with my iMac and Mac book pro. It works with USB 2.0 and 3.0 flash drives but obviously is faster with 3.0. I have not had any problems and am satisfied with the purchase.

This works well for inputting my photos. Real fast on USB 3 and powered to run several at a time. A Rockfish brand I bought previously fried the USB hub in my old computer!

Not sure if it warrants 50 but it is a great hub, it does not stick out anywhere it can sit at the sides of thing, helps with the TV that I am using it for. It's a perfect little hub

I keep a small flash drive on my keyring. This usually makes it a challenge to connect to the port on the side of the computer, unless I first remove it from the keyring. With this hub, I can simply connect to my flash drive, without first removing it from the keyring, by just laying the keys on the tabletop and sliding the flash drive into this USB Hub. An then, even after I do that, there are still 3 more ports I can access. It comes with a power connection, but I have never needed to connect the device itself to a power source...I just plug it into the computer's USB port, and it performs perfectly.

I got this to go with my Surface Pro 3. I don't have wireless at my office and have to use the internet with my USB port, but for some of my work I needed to use my mouse as well. so I got this. It works perfectly, and fast. I see no difference in internet speed (using cat 5 internet cable) and my mouse works fine too. I can even hook up my printer at the same time and charge my cell phone. The J5 is built sturdy, and according to the pakaging will work with or without the power cable attached. which is nice if you ever travel short distances to see clients etc. The cord from the J5 to the computer could be a little longer, but it works none the less.

I bought the j5 create because I needed a powered USB 2.0 or 3.0 hub to make image backups on my Dell XPS. Without a powered hub, the backup process gave a USB timed out error. With an old USB 1.0 powered hub, the backup worked but took 6-8 hrs. With the j5 create, image backups take about 15 minutes. It's a lightweight, compact unit for travel except for the optional power transformer, which with it's cord, is heavier and larger than the hub.

I really want to like J5's products. I do. But there always seems to be some sort of hitch with everything I purchase from them. In the case of this USB hub, it was the fact that it simply wasn't recognized by my Mac. After about 20 minutes of trying different ports on my Mac and testing all the other connections on my computer, I decided to restart my computer. Given that I usually have 20+ programs open, this is something I hate to do unless it's absolutely necessary. But, that did the trick. After the restart, the hub showed up and has worked perfectly since. Still, a USB hub that isn't recognized when you plug it in is the sort of USB hub you have to think twice about purchasing.

This 3.0 hub, 4 ports, with one port doubling as charger is super compact and as fast as devices that I've connected. Love it!

Simple to set up and not expensive. It does everything i expected without any issues. Its small foot print makes it easy to hide. i would buy this again.

This is a great little USB 3.0 hub. The metal body is solid. The optional power is great if you need to run multiple USB hard drives or you need to use it as a charger.

This is a much needed device if you have a laptop which have only one USB 3 port. It is backward compatible with USB 2 and you can easily carry this in your bag.

This hub works wonderfully without power. Having the option to plug it in makes it all the better. I use this with 2 midis and a mic and it rocks my world!

I wanted a hub that would run a USB hard drive and charge my phone. It worked great for both. Only drawback is that the USB cord needs to be longer.

I have no problems with speed and I like the fact that it has an external power supply. My usb devices charge just fine, even when the computer is off.

I purchased this hub to use with multiple wireless NICs for AirMagnet and Ekahau wireless site surveys. I've attached it to both my regular laptop and my ultrabook with two-sided Velcro, allowing me to run two NICs and a spectrum analyzer adapter simultaneously from a single USB3 port. It serves the purpose well, letting me dedicate one NIC to each band, or one NIC per channel in wireless tracing (RADIOTAP header collection).

A USB hub seems simple but there are so many out there that are just not worth the money. This one is an exception. You plug it in, it works. It handles the power requirements for drives and USB monitors without difficulty. The design is small and the USB port on the end is a nice touch. The cable is just long enough to use but not too long to get in your way. It does not overheat (or even get hot) and the power at the device is very consistent. It doesn't have an integrated gigabit ethernet port but I already had that covered.
