Therefore, I needed to find a solution, and Best Buy had just what I was looking for and the expertise to recommend just what I needed. This is a super fast USB 3.0, which is a backward compatible device another words it can do 2.o as well. Needed to expand my USB capability, as I used all my ports. Works well definitely recommend purchasing it.
